“…We Just Want To Feel Safe” How Did We, As a Civilization, Become So Naive?

“Feelings!”

Recently, I heard a NYC politician say, “… we just want to feel safe.” This is in response to a worldwide call by an Iranian official for anti-Jewish/anti-Western violence on a recent Saturday by all Islamics, no matter where they are.

NYPD is/was on high alert, as are Police Departments in a number of other cities.

How did we, as a civilization, become so naive? Air-headed leftists simply want to “feel safe,” and this is the prime driver in their lives.

Taking personal responsibility for their own safety doesn’t even enter their thought process!

As long as they “feel safe,” reality is apparently irrelevant.

“Feel” any way you want. That won’t change anything!

The issue (known all too well by those of us who go armed) is that there is a big difference between naively “feeling safe” and materially reducing personal risk.

  • The word “if” denotes fantasy, as in, “if I win the lottery.”
  • The word “when” denotes imminence, as in, “When out, I am aware of my surroundings.”

Words have meaning, and the language we use starkly reveals our individual character.

Operators face reality in all its bareness and act accordingly. Air-heads pretend what’s in front of them really isn’t there and suffer logical consequences.

When they live through it, all they can say is, “It’s so unfair!”

Those who take reality lightly don’t die of old age!

Be careful this week. Always remain armed and very dangerous.

It’s about perception not substance. they want to feel safe without any interest in actually being safe. Feeling safe is just an illusion until a criminal or terrorist decides to abruptly change that illusion. At which point the illusion of being safe vanishes and the harsh reality is jars the inhabitant of fantasy world into reality.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best is the only responsible way to proceed in this world.

I also just want to feel safe! (From the government)

Idiot leftists defund the police and do all they can to disarm law abiding citizens. Now they want to feel safe and don’t understand why they can’t.

How???? Because Americans are the Stupidest people on the Planet.

Good little read, Mr. Farnam.

this is an AMERICAN people problem. when AMERICANS voluntarily put their rights and safety in the hands of elected officials instead of doing the work themselves, the outcome should be evident.

All I want is to pull the proverbial blankets up over my head, and cry for mommy government to “make all the bad things (guns) go away”.
MAKE THEM ILLEGAL!
The world will be such a wonderful, safe place, and everyone will get along!
