Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate in the 2024 Presidential Election, faced widespread ridicule following a video of him struggling to load his shotgun during a pheasant hunt.
The incident, which was meant to showcase Walz as a gun-friendly candidate, backfired spectacularly, drawing mockery from conservatives and hunters alike.
The video, which quickly spread across social media, shows Walz fumbling with a Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting semi-automatic shotgun (a very relatable $2000.00+ shotgun), sparking questions about his authenticity as a hunter. Waltz claims he has used the gun extensively for Trap Shooting. With all that extensive use one would think he would already know how to load it properly. Further, a Trap gun isn’t the best choice for Upland game hunting; a real hunter wouldn’t be using an expensive, dedicated Trap gun for pheasants. I own one shogun I purchased because the state of Oregoneistan was going to make semi auto shotguns and shotguns that take a magazine illegal so I bought one.
Not owning any other shot gun my knowledge about them is very limited but I have seen enough gun and hunting shows to know that your roll the gun over upside down and load it from the bottom which is now on top.
