GAO Gun Trafficking Report Corrupted by Anti-Gunners
Washington, DC - -(AmmoLand.com)- The Government Accounting Office has released their “GAO Gun Trafficking Report” and it has been clearly corrupted by the same anti gun speech we have heard from the Obama Administration and the likes of Senator Dianne Feinstein.
A brief sampling of quotes shows the same old lies and half truths.
“[The] growing number of weapons being smuggled into Mexico comprise more than 90% of the seized firearms that can be traced by authorities there.” - already proven untrue and unsubstantiated.
“Many of these firearms come from gun shops and gun shows in Southwest border states, such as Texas, California, and Arizona,” – not true as we have no way to tell as less than 10% of arms captured in Mexico are submitted for tracing in the USA.
“officials identified key challenges related to (1) restrictions on collecting and reporting information on firearms purchases, (2) a lack of required background checks for private firearms sales, and (3) limitations on reporting requirements for multiple sales.” - this is a set up to go after the imaginary gun show loop hole and private sales between individuals.
And the best part …“While it is impossible to know how many firearms are illegally smuggled into Mexico in a given year” They are openly admitting that they have no idea.
Clearly the anti-gunners have influenced this report for their own agenda of taking away or restricting our second amendment rights.
