If the prospective gun buyer is expected to pay for the psychiatric evaluation (Bills A 3667 and 3676)and the estimate from web advertisements for these is $400 to $1800, the poor will be priced out of the permitting process. Only the wealthy will be able to afford these evaluations. Is that what the state legislature wants to do, disarm the ordinary citizen while leaving the wealthy with a monopoly on firearm possession?
