ST. Paul, MN -(AmmoLand.com)- The Minnesota Gun Owners Political Action Committee today issued statements of support for several candidates in the special elections in House District 3A and Senate District 35.

In addition, the MN Gun Owners PAC announced that they will not make an endorsement in the House District 3A race, but will review the Senate District 35 race following the upcoming endorsing conventions and primary and may make an endorsement at a future date in that race.

“Voters in both upcoming special elections have a number of candidates that have demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting the constitutional rights of Minnesota’s gun owners,“ said Bryan Strawser, Executive Director, Minnesota Gun Owners PAC. “In Senate District 35, Jim Abeler, Andy Aplikowski, Don Guizenga, and Brad Sunderlund each received a grade of A- or higher and would fairly represent the interests of law-abiding gun owners in their district as their State Senator.”

“In House District 3A, all three candidates currently vying for the seat also demonstrated a strong commitment to the Second Amendment, each receiving an A- grade,“ added Strawser. “Kelsey Johnson, Robert Ecklund, and Roger Skabra are each fine choices for gun owners to support in their district.”

“The strong level of support for the constitutional rights of Minnesota’s more than two-and-a-half-million law-abiding gun owners shown by candidates in the upcoming special elections demonstrates the strength of the gun rights movement in Minnesota,“ said Rob Doar, Political Director. “We look forward to revisiting the Senate District 35 race following the endorsing convention and primary next year.”

A complete view of grades for each candidate, by race, is available on the MNGOPAC website.
