Pro-gun Bills Pass Out of Illinois House Committee on Vote of 13-1
The lone negative anti-gun votes were cast by newcomer Rep. Kelly Burke (D) District 36.
Illinois –-(Ammoland.com)- Several important pro-gun bills passed out the House Agriculture committee this past week and there seemed to be a repeating pattern to the votes cast.
The following bills have been passed in committee, all on a vote of 13/1/0:
- HB0003 – Firearms Municipal Regulation
- HB0004 – Firearm Owners Preempt Loc Gov
- HB0005 – Wildlife Code Case Definition
- HB0008 – Firearm Owners ID Premption
- HB0264 – Firearm Owners Preemt Loc Gov
- HB0265 – Crim Cd Firearm Transport
Seems most all the lone negative votes were cast by newcomer Rep. Kelly Burke (D) District 36, which is the Oak Lawn/Evergreen Park/Chicago Ridge/Hickory Hills area.
If you live in District 36, now would be a great time to contact Ms. Burke and politely let her know you expect her to protect your right to keep and bear arms. Urge her to vote in favor of the upcoming Right to Carry bill HB148 which will be heard soon in this very same committee.

When will a bill be introduced to REPEAL the FOID card?
Several years ago Senator Bill Brady introduced a Bill that would REPEAL the FOID card and the gun lobby for the most part ignored it.
