Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)-  On Monday, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed Senate Bill 145 by a 7-5 vote.

This legislation, sponsored by state Senator Frederick Moore (R-20), is a much-needed reform which would make all information relating to concealed weapon permit (CWP) holders confidential.  SB 145 now goes to the Senate floor.

Please contact your state Senator TODAY and respectfully urge him or her to vote “yes” on SB 145.

Passage of this legislation in a timely manner is essential.  In other parts of the country, anti-gun media outlets abused their privileges under the Freedom of Information Act and have jeopardized the safety of law-abiding citizens by publishing the names and addresses of registered gun owners.  Contrary to their claims, these media elites have not increased public safety.  Rather, they have simply provided a map for criminals to use on their next burglary.  SB 145 would ensure that never happens in Montana.

It is important that you contact your state Senator TODAY and respectfully urge him or her to vote “yes” on SB 145.
