Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- In the last week of session before the Legislature takes off for summer recess, the Assembly and Senate Committees on Public Safety will each hear an anti-gun bill on Tuesday, July 14.

Please contact the members of the respective committees urging them to OPPOSE each of these misguided anti-gun bills.

Assembly Committee on Public Safety in State Capitol room 126 at 9:00 a.m.

Anti-gun Senate Bill 707 would prohibit CCW holders and retired law enforcement officers from possessing firearms on any properties that make up the grounds of a K-12 school or university, including many parking lots, common areas that may not be readily identifiable as school grounds, and student apartment buildings.

Please contact the members of the Assembly Committee on Public Safety and urge them to OPPOSE SB 707.

Contact information for the committee can be found here.

Senate Committee on Public Safety in State Capitol room 3191 at 9:30 a.m.

Anti-gun Assembly Bill 1134 would allow sheriffs to make agreements with and delegate the processing of all carry license (“CCW”) applications to a police chief of a city within the county, making it even harder to apply for and less likely to be issued a CCW.

Please contact the members of the Senate Committee on Public Safety and urge them to OPPOSE AB 1134.

Contact information for the committee can be found here.

Don’t forget to forward this alert to your friends, family, fellow gun owners and sportsmen and urge them to contact the members of the Assembly and Senate Committees on Public Safety to OPPOSE AB 1134 and SB 707.
