Blount County Tennessee – -(Ammoland.com)- Off the heels of the single largest business expansion announcement for the firearms industry in recent history, Advanced Munitions International LLC (AMI) states this expansion is clear to be the hub and center of the new gun valley.
AMI recently announced a $553.6 million plan to build their global headquarters on 235 acres of Tennessee land located in Blount County.
The campus-like facility will be home to manufacturing and product development for AMI and other like-minded business partners that want to take part in a setting that is ideally located for very effective distribution.
The new campus will integrate multiple opportunities for continued expansion for both AMI and other businesses that may want to be in an environment that offers an exceptional workforce that is technologically driven. This Second Amendment-friendly state and specifically, Blount County, encourages businesses to thrive. The United States Chamber of Commerce awarded the Blount County Chamber with Five-Star Accreditation for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. The Chamber has been 5-Star accredited since the designation was first awarded in 2005. In fact, the Blount Chamber has been accredited since 1984 and is just one of four 5-star chambers in the state of Tennessee.
Mark Kresser, President & CEO of AMI, comments, “We are anxious to break ground on our state-of-the-art munitions manufacturing facility in Alcoa, Tennessee. Other states offered nice business incentives but it goes deeper than that when choosing a location. The firearms-friendly community, lower operating expenses, cost of living for our employees and our ability to ship quickly because of the central location were deal closers in our decision. Blount County cares about its community and wants to ensure a robust quality of life. We see this area expanding quickly based on these items alone and hope to have like-minded business neighbors, where together we can build a community in the new gun valley.”
Advanced Munitions International LLC, manufactures products for the following brands: BlackOps®, Emcon® and HPR® Ammunition, and expects to break ground this spring on the 300,000-square foot facility to be located on a 235-acre site in Alcoa’s Partnership Park. AMI plans to open in the fourth quarter of 2018 with company executives citing the proximity and resources of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a deciding factor in choosing Tennessee as home for their manufacturing, distribution and R&D operations.
The veteran-owned Advanced Munitions International LLC (AMI) is the industry’s leading innovator in center-fire ammunition for military, law enforcement and civilian use and manufactures the HPR®, Black Ops® and EMCON brands of custom grade, premium ammunition that are designed to provide a superior shooting experience www.advancedmunitions.com
