Leupold Pros Take Top Spots at World Speed Shooting Championship

BEAVERTON, Ore. -(Ammoland.com)- Leupold & Stevens, Inc. congratulates B.J. Norris and Jessie Harrison-Duff on their respective titles at the 2017 World Speed Shooting Championships held May 3-6 in San Luis Obispo, California.

Norris, shooting a DeltaPoint Pro equipped pistol, took the Overall Match Championship with a blistering time of 76.63 seconds for all eight stages. In addition, his wins in the Limited, Single-Stack and Production divisions earned him the Steel Master title.

Harrison-Duff, also running the DeltaPoint Pro on her Open Division pistol took home the High Lady Title with a time of 95.82 seconds. Her performance in the Single Stack Division claimed second place in the High Lady position, as well.

The World Speed Shooting Championship pits competitors against the clock to draw and shoot small steel plates at speed. With runs lasting a few seconds, a premium is placed on speed and accuracy. To win requires the utmost in focus, precision and consistency.

This is Harrison-Duff’s ninth consecutive World Speed Shooting Championship and number 10 overall. She currently holds six of the eight stage world records.

For Norris, this is his second championship and he holds the world record on the stage Outer Limits.
