seems like there trying to tweek the original 6,5×55.the original long range flat shooting cartridge for the 6,5×55 Swedish mauser?????

Wild Bill

, I am working that problem backwards. I am trying to get as good a performance out to my 6.5 Swedish as a naturally get from my 6.5 Lapua. I use the 140gr Berger VLD for both. A powder common to both H4350. Same amount. Primers are different, of course. And case shape is different.
The Norwegians and Swedish designers knew what they were doing, but the designers of the 6.5 Lapua had the benefit of a hundred years more of experience. There is just something about that Lapua case…

6.5 Lapua so out distances the 6.5 Creedmore.

No it doesn’t but if you’re a percision shooter it holds tighter groups, I had Kreiger build my from an old 700 action, I’m 57 years old and shot everything, it shoots as good or better than my 222. The creedmore has more power in a killing feild, but my Lapua is lights out.
