120,000,000 Gun Owners Need to Hang Together, or will Hang Separately

Gun Confiscation
Gun Confiscation

U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- There’s an old joke. If 120 million gun owners who own 400,000,000 guns with a stockpile of 2 trillion rounds of ammunition were the problem, you’d know it.

Today we are the target. The established left hates us. The left-wing media blame us for Donald Trump’s election, and they intend to punish us for it. Make us pay for preventing their push towards globalism. To them, gun owners are Neanderthals who hold back the nation and our social evolution.

What the left does not value is the belief in individual and God-given rights. Whereas we, the American Gun owner, are the most law-abiding and honest individuals in the country who simply want to be let alone.

Let me make this plain. We don’t want this fight… but, the left does.

The left will be relentless, they have called for appointing judges that will nullify the 2A, ban guns and then confiscate guns. They blame the NRA for things it has not done. They lie and misrepresent facts to make their false arguments work.

So things and news changes fast. But as of now, here is what we know now:

  • A close acquaintance of the shooter notified authorities, days before the event, of  what was going to happen. Nothing was done.
  • The FBI dropped the ball on this one, as they did earlier this year. So let’s blame gun owners and the President.
  • The police were at the shooter’s home 39 times over the last few years, and no one thought to investigate further. So let’s blame the NRA.
  • The you-tube posting and videos were ignored by law enforcement. So let’s repeal the 2nd Amendment.

The left disregards the fact. Anything that gets in the way of their blaming gun owners needs to be ignored or swept aside. The same old script from the left. Never let a crisis go to waste.

Their goal is the confiscation of firearms and the disarming of the American populace.

This fight isn’t going away anytime soon. I’ve seen the numbers on gun owner turn out from November 2016 and know how we shook up the results. Without gun owners turning out in droves Hillary would be President, and your rights would be stripped from you as we speak.

So subscribe to the NRA email update and stay informed. While I favor the NRA, pick a pro-gun group and support them.

Learn from putting money away for retirement a little now or a lot later. Get involved now, and let’s fight to preserve our rights and strangle the left's war against our rights!

Call your congressperson. Write your local paper. Go to your local politico’s Facebook pages and POLITELY voice your support for the 2nd Amendment.

120,000,000 gun owners united cannot be defeated. Fight now to preserve your rights.

    1. They will quietly pass laws at the state level to increase what causes you to lose your gun rights. In Oregon now, if you contest a restraining order, you automatically lose your gun rights. Our Constitution gets eroded and I see no way to stop it. The Feds have a right to stop and and question you without warrant if you are within 100 miles of a U.S. border. Wait until they tack on another zero to that number and the people will realize they should have said something beforehand. Lincoln was right in that our destruction will come from within, and it will because of apathy.

      1. @SuperG

No, not because of apathy. It will be because almost nobody cares about integrity, factual evidence, and principles anymore..

In todays world self justification is the rule, where any wrong or trade off is dismissible as being necessary for a good outcome. No longer is concrete fact valued when people are fighting solely for the sake of “Winning.”

Now there are some of us who have been speaking out, who have read Martin Niemoller. We have been ringing the warning bells for sometime.

    2. @ Don McDougall

I would like to commend you on a well written article. You stuck to the facts, and you remained open to those of varying belief in regards to which organizations they financially support.

I wish I could have sent this on the day it was written, but my PC was down. So once again for this article, hats off to you.

    3. Better define ‘Free’ first, Bill. Try not referring to documents and describe what that looks like. Might not look much like our country.

    4. Thomas Paine’s famous exhortation is oddly used here. The “hang separately” part of the phrase refers to the punishment for the crime of treason that the Revolutionaries committed, in the eyes of the British. What crime(s) have 120 million gun owners committed that could subject them to hanging, separately?

      1. Perhaps you worry too much about the original context. I think he means that we need to band together, or in disunity we will be picked off opportunistically and ultimately lose our rights. Not literally be hanged, but lose what matters.

        1. Don’t forget the billboard in Kentucky a few days ago that said “Kill the NRA”. Given the opportunity, there is little doubt that there are hoplopjobes that would indeed kill as many of us as they could. Remember when some ‘comedian’ demanded that Wayne LaPierre be tied to the back of a truck and dragged down the road until he changes his mind? We, individually and as a group ‘misunderestimate’ them at our peril.

    5. Me not right or left as I do not want a party telling me what to do and how to think. Age 65, shooter for over 52 years. Owner, ,Daily Carry, and The NRA helped bring me into Firearms around 53 years ago. On the side half of the country wont want to hear. I have not and will not be an NRA Member again unless they return to their roots, and start trying to attract US and not attack Them. Until then The NRA is a little group ran by little people. The 2nd is very important to me, but so are my Grand Buddies, age 4 and 6, both girls. Yes I will teach them to shoot and hunt just like I did with my kids. Yes I already have 3 firearms set aside for each of them already. The 2nd was written by great people in the attempt to keep Government and Ourselves from messing it up. Well we have a mess now. I own a number of SKSs, AK, MACs and others, no AR or at least not yet. Yet I know The 2nd was drafted when all they had basically were Muskets…………………….. I have always thought about trying Black Powder. Age 21 sounds ok to me today, and back in 69 my Draft Card said #252.

    6. we are fighting a foreign agenda. it is called the EU agenda.Richard Nikolaus Eijiro, Count of Coudenhove-Kalergi originator of Pan-Europe, which became the EU of today that the so called progressive left have sold out to.Richard Nikolaus Eijiro belief was,” The man of the future will be of mixed race. Today’s races and classes will gradually disappear owing to the vanishing of space, time, and prejudice. The Eurasian-Negroid race of the future, similar in its appearance to the Ancient Egyptians, will replace the diversity of peoples with a diversity of individuals.” this is what the EU wants. The EU has its own constitution. that is why our sold out politicians and educators want to destroy our Constitution, the 2nd amendment. WAKE UP AND KNOW YOUR ENEMY. THE EU

    7. Again, the DemocRATic communist party NWO cronies are out to use a CRISIS to try and make uninformed Americans FEEL unsafe.
      Stop all of the hog-wash.
Even the Founding Fathers acknowledged that the RIGHT of self DEFENSE was given by the CREATOR.
Put the blame for these MULTIPLE mass murders by Domestic and/or Foreign national TERRORIST where the true blame lies.
The BLAME and RESPONSIBILITY will ALWAYS lie on the MURDERERS’ heads, hearts and hands.
The past mass murders that have occurred in America have happened under the WEAPONIZED, POLITICIZE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES that did not share or act upon the valid information which they were given.
It strikes me that the POLITICAL CONTROLLERS ALLOWED the TERRORISTS to continue with their MURDEROUS INTENT.
Heads of these POLITICIZED departments should be on the PROSECUTION roles in the court sessions that MUST follow these INFRACTIONS against the American People.

    8. The recent horrors with student killings has mobilized the forces to politicize the tragedy in order to implement their attacks on gun owners rights. It is understandable their mobilization in mass, it is the perfect opportunity.

However, one observation is never mentioned.

We see a mass call to control and take away the rights of every law abiding gun owner; individuals who are totally innocent of any wrongdoing. A wave of hatred against anyone and any organization affiliated with guns. Restrictions immediately implemented without due process or vetting.

Yet, when a Muslim terrorist kills, there is an swift and proactive extremes to ensure that Islam is not blamed, the religion is never the reason or cause and it is morally wrong to even remotely associate terror with Islamic ideology. The Progressives and the Media, and Democrat Left demand that innocent Muslims must never be punished or restricted “by the actions of a few Extremists”.

Yet, the NRA and million of innocent gun owners are being targeted, prosecuted and demonized.

What a country we live in!

      1. Yep, in touch with reality and true facts…don’t worry. America is currently isolating itself. This is no help to Americans of course, but it seems to win the votes…

      2. The reason directly blaming Islam is avoided, is because this drives further radicalisation and extremism. And attacks on muslims by non muslims, thereby adding fuel to the fire. De-escalating religious antagonism is a tool to promote a safer, less extremist society. This is the advice and leaders are given from All intelligence services

    9. If keyboard commandos were actual activists gun control would never have become a problem because millions would have taken to the streets every single year and been at Legislative hearings protesting anti-gun Bills. They would have burned down the switch boards, both local and Federal and the Internet email boxes would have been shut down. Why didn’t this happen? Because gun owners in general, and keyboard commandos in particular, are among the laziest people out there.

They figure if they pay their dues to a National Organization (maybe) that’s all they need do. They don’t realize that preservation of Rights only BEGINS with group membership. They fail to understand that, gasp, it means giving up family holidays and some vacations to lobby for your Rights. They fail to grasp that preserving and nourishment of your Rights is an ongoing endeavor and it’s a lot of work, not for the squeamish or feint of heart. Unfortunately, about 6% do all the work and the other 94% sit back and wail and cry when we finally reach the point we’re at today. Can we pull this back? I’m not sure. The other side has traction and they know it. If we don’t gather our political might and show that we are greater in knowledge and numbers we will lose.

      1. I like the term “keyboard commando” you used. There are many out there who preach but don’t practice. If ALL firearms owners were organized, the political power would be enormous. The “leftists” are masters of organizing groups to get political power. We need to pay attention and learn!

        1. That is the way it works, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Vanns I agree with you and add that once our rights are lost there is no taking them back.

      2. @Vanns40 and all below

Money talks and bull walks. Therein lies the problem. Who here is willing to give up amazon, their preferred products carried at a local store, or other “creature comforts” they are used to?

Let me ask, who here drinks starbucks, or rationalizes it when they order because a family member was there and wanted it too? If you are not willing to turn off the supply of cash, then as Vanns40 pointed out, actually doing something may be too tough for you.

      1. @Dave, if you are alleging actual bribery, then what is your evidence? If you are using the phrase “buy … VOTES” as hyperbole, then how is the NRA’s lobbying effort different from the efforts of any other lobbyist? Every politician is all about “pay for play” now days. That is part of the corruption of Washington, District of Corruption. The most crooked ten square miles in the world.

    10. The Left doesn’t want to hear that we humble gun owners NEED the SAME gun POWER as a potential Tyrannical Government has. If the Government only has single shot muskets, we only NEED muskets. If the Government has multi round AR15’s, M16’s…

      1. SteveK . You are aware of the extent of American military might, arent you? Gun owners with safes full of ARs don’t even come close to the firepower and technology that is deployed regularly on highly armed, far more experienced fighters overseas. This idea that the 2nd amendment protects us or prevents tyrannical government has no connection with reality.

        1. As also, the idiot proclaiming that our military might negates the second amendment has no connection with reality.

So then are you saying that our military members, the bulk of which are farmers sons, good ol’ boys, and average joes who have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters would either stand by or take part in shooting their own or the family of the brothers and sisters they serve with? Do you honestly think it just stops once someone leaves the service? How about you ask that to an oath keeper.

    11. Thing is, most American don’t agree with such strident gun advocacy. Indeed, if voting was mandatory, as a true democracy would require, our gun laws would be a little more considered. I wouldn’t ask all gun owners out to vote as you might be surprised how many don’t feel anyone should be able to buy rapid fire high capacity firearms without a reason beyond “2nd amendment rights”. Last thing the gun lobby wants is more people voting.

      1. Does not matter if most people agree or disagree. We don’t have mob rule. RIGHTS are inalienable and protect individuals against the tyranny of the majority. Take a Civics 101 class before you spout any more bilge.

      2. How does a TRUE democracy REQUIRE voting? How does forcing people to vote make laws better considered? How do you know so well that, if everyone had to vote, the majority of Americans would vote away the birthright that best keeps theri nation free and self-governed? Your opinions seem bizzarre, here, and pulled entirely out of the air.

        1. Bill, if hardly anyone votes, then those elected only represent a minority. Or at least that’s how it works here. American ‘democracy’ is one of the poorest models going in terms of actual representation of the majority in first world democratic countries.

I gather from your other posts that all opinions other than your own are unsubstantiated lies. Maybe one day you can widen your reading and experience a little, free yourself up from such a narrow worldview.

You really seem hung up on the idea that the only nation free and self-governing is USA, and only because of the 2nd amendment. broaden your horizons, young man!

(there you go, now we both come across as smug know-it-alls)

          1. @jay, Could you name the other nations where people have Civil Rights like American Civil Rights, especially the Civil Right to keep and bear arms, please.

            1. Ah the old switch and bait trick Bill.

That aside, I think the point is other countries don’t have 2A yet have high gun ownership.

They also have in many case far better living standards for normal people, with or without “American Civil Rights”.

Which by the way have hardly stopped civil rights being walked over time and time again.

Obsessions with the documents seems to cloud understanding of reality.

            2. @jay, You write,” …You really seem hung up on the idea that the only nation free and self-governing is USA, and only because of the 2nd amendment. broaden your horizons, young man!” That implies that there might be other nations that are as free the US. So, I merely ask if you would name those nations that you had in mind. If any.

            1. Yep I agree old vet. Plenty of people claiming it is though. They usually also claim it’s the best one in the world.

            2. @OV, I will not be corresponding with him, but I am still waiting on that implied list of nations that are as free as the U.S. that whatshisname alluded to.

        2. @Bill, you are correct. If the government can force everyone to vote, then voting or declining to vote is not a Civil Right. One can not really say “Yes”, if he can not say “No”.
