Perfect for AR- and AK-users, as well as hunters, competitors, and recreational shooters, these two micro sights are part of Holosun’s new Elite line of optics. All Elite optics features Holosun’s revolutionary Green LED Emitter for extremely high visibility in all conditions, plus Holosun’s Shake Awake technology. Shake Awake switches the optic into the “sleep mode” after a pre-set amount of inactivity, then automatically powers back up at the slightest movement.

Both the HS503GU Elite and the HS503CU Elite micro reflex sights feature a 65-MOA circle-dot reticle with a 2 MOA center dot, which can be switched to a 2-MOA dot only, and 10 daylight and 2 night-vision brightness settings. Parallax free with unlimited eye relief, the micro sights can be adjusted up to 50 MOA. The strong 6061T6 Aluminum housings will withstand years of hard duty, while the units can operate in temperature extremes of -22 to +140 Fahrenheit. The multi-coated lenses create sharp, clear images in all weather conditions.
All these features in units weighing just three ounces apiece.
The battery-powered HS503GU runs on one CR 2032 battery for up to an amazing 50,000 hours of use. The HS503CU Elite is solar powered and features Holosun’s Advanced Solar Fail Safe, which operates from solar cell power, yet draws from a battery if the light source is insufficient.

Shake awake technology. Let me rephrase: If you are someone who actually has his AR with him or in his truck a lot your battery is always trying to run itself dead in its holster. Shake awake is best for fudds whose rifles sit in their gun safe with their gun lock at home growing old and fat alone.
You do realize that 50,000 hours is 5 years 8 months on a $1.50 battery.

Or you could just…. I don’t know… Leave it on 24/7 and change the battery every other year……. But that would probably be be hard when your out there operating your tactical truck operationally and what not…

With some great features.
I do not think any state run military uses their products, although I have seen photos of them being used in Ukraine.
So not “military grade”.
Good enough for target shooting, hunting, and home defense.

It means a PFC can forget it on a water-buffalo. And when it falls off as the convoy leaves, whoever finds it can reasonably expect it to still work.
Or those that have their AR in a Hornady AR Rapid Safe in their closet. 40 rounds at 3,025 fps in a SBR trumps your 17 round pistol mag. And no, you don’t want one on a truck rifle, manual on red dot with buis.
