HJR 2005 and HF 2114 both passed through committee with weakening amendments that are unacceptable.
Another NRA priority bill is moving forward in the IA House of Representatives. HF 2114, the firearms preemption legislation, passed state House Public Safety Subcommittee yesterday by a 2-1 vote.
Contact Public Safety Committee members today and urge them to vote YES tomorrow on HF 2114, the Iowa Firearm Preemption Act.

We have 3 issues to update you on, a new state added recognition of Iowa’s Permit to Carry, steady progress on the Traditional Ammunition Ban front and most importantly Stand Your Ground legislation.
