SHACKLESFORD, VA –-(Ammoland.com)- Gary Byerly of Team International Training, Inc. (ITI) was crowned the Area Champion in the Pistol Single Stack Division at the 2011 USPSA Area 6 Championship, held at the Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, FL, April 14-16, 2011.

Over 35 competitors came out to compete in the Florida heat and humidity against Byerly in the Pistol Single Stack Division.

“The Area 6 Championship had a different venue this year but the theme remained the same: technically challenging stages with a high degree of risk/reward,” commented Byerly.

“Having a well thought out plan and executing it well was my key to a good finish. I was able to incorporate what I learned in ITI’s Competitive Pistol II class right into my plan for each stage. Thanks to everyone who helped put on the match. They did a great job for the shooters.”

Byerly will next be competing at the Blue Ridge Mountain 3-Gun Championship held in Mammoth Cave, KY from April 29 – May 1, 2011.
