ACCOKEEK, MD –-(AmmoLand.com)- Stoeger Industries is introducing two new configurations for their Cougar semi-auto pistols, chambered in 9mm Parabellum and .40 S&W.

In addition to the original all-matte black version, there are two attractive new finishes.

The first option is a non-glare Bruniton® silver steel slide with an anodized alloy matte-silver frame. The second version comes in a two-tone style, featuring a matte Bruniton® black steel slide combined with an anodized alloy matte-silver frame.

Bruniton® is the same battle-proven finish applied to the sidearms of the United States Armed Forces. For corrosion-resistance and durability, it is vastly superior to the more traditional blued or parkerized finishes. Both models sport black polymer tactical grips, allowing for a positive hold that helps maintain better control of the pistol during recoil.

The Cougar series are double-action pistols, featuring a rotating barrel that locks with the slide, which provides greater strength and accuracy. The barrels are cold hammer-forged and the bores are hard chrome-lined for exceptional durability. Additional features include rounded edges for snag-free drawing; removable front sight, ambidextrous safety, and combat-style trigger guard. Incorporating the finest technology and proven semi-auto features, the Cougar is a light, compact and reliable pistol. Each caliber of the Cougar models come standard with two high-capacity magazines.
