SHACKLESFORD, VA –-( Morgan Allen of Team International Training, Inc. (ITI) took home the title of ESP Division Champion with a score of 169.47 (61) at the 2011 IDPA Great Lakes Regional, held May 20-22, 2011 at Linwood-Bay Sportsman’s Club in Munger, MI.

This is Allen’s fourth consecutive ESP Division title in the IDPA Great Lakes Regional.

Allen finished second overall behind Bob Vogel. Over 140 competitors came out to compete through ten stages.

“This year’s Great Lakes Regional was a true shooter’s match, offering a variety of challenges and options to every level of shooter,” commented Allen. “Understanding your skills and knowing your limits becomes critical within matches like these. ITI training teaches the proper methods to evaluate and determine your best plan for winning.”

He continued, “Hats off to Gary Cuittitta, Dave Alexander and the rest of the fantastic group. You’re the reason this match is an easy choice for my competition schedule.”

Allen, who suffered a wrist stress fracture before the match, will be undergoing surgery to repair the damage and is expected to be out of competition for the next two months.

It’s hard to believe that Morgan Allen has only been shooting pistols since 2005, considering he has over 25 IDPA State and Regional Division Championship titles under his belt since 2007. Having moved up the ladder from an IDPA Novice to Master in only 14 months, Allen has also won three top five Division finishes at the Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals.
