Milford, NH –-(Ammoland.com)- A few weeks ago when we told you that Rep. Ed Butler was seeking revenge for the failure of his universal gun registration bill HB 1589.

We told you that he amended a very pro-gun bill, HB 1264 into an anti-gun study committee.  Click here to read the details.

Fortunately for New Hampshire gun owners, NHFC Corporate Secretary and State Rep. JR Hoell is standing up for our rights again.  He is co-sponsoring an amendment with several other pro liberty State Reps to the amended HB 1264 that will once again make it a pro-firearm bill.

This new amendment is modeled after the bill to Nullify Federal Gun Laws that is working it’s way through the Arizona state legislature.  The amendment is elegantly simple.  It prohibits New Hampshire and it’s various political subdivisions from enforcing ANY federal gun control.  What this means is that the local or state police cannot help BATF enforce any illegal, unconstitutional federal gun laws.  Sure, BATF could still enforce them, but with out the assistance of state and local law enforcement whose salaries are paid with our local tax dollars.

The Rep. Hoell amendment to HB 1264 is Amendment 2014-998H.  It will be heard by full house this Wednesday, March 19.  And it can be read by clicking here.

Here’s what you can do to help.  Call all your State Reps and insist that they vote the anti-gun Butler amendment “Inexpedient to Legislate” (ITL) and then vote FOR the Hoell Amendment, (2014-998H) or “Ought to Pass”

Click here to find out who your State Reps are.

Then email them and insist that they oppose the anti-gun Butler Amendment and support the PRO Second Amendment Hoell Amendment.

As always, if you receive any email from these politicians please forward it to NHFC by clicking here.

Thanks for your support.

In Liberty,

Scott A. Krauss
Vice President – NHFC
