Ft Collins, CO -(Ammoland.com)- “When a stupid man is doing something he is ashamed of, he always declares it his ‘duty.’” ~ Apollodorus (played by Stuart Granger) in the 1945 feature film, “Caesar and Cleopatra,” also staring Claude Rains and Vivien Leigh.

Right and Wrong!

Addendum to my last Quip on U.S. Soldiers beating down Afghan child rapist:

With modern-day leftists “redefining” traditional English words, like “marriage” and “family,” so that no deviation, no matter how heinous, is “excluded,” it becomes easy to see how those same leftists also lovingly embrace pedophilia, polygamy, and bestiality, insisting such practices are “cultural,” and thus sacrosanct.

A few of us insist that “wrong” is still wrong, that this “new morality” is little more than the “new immorality,” which is neither new, nor moral.

By failing to support our own righteous and moral soldiers operating in Afghanistan and other areas where Islamics dominate, we send a pathetic message to evil-doers around the world:

The USA no longer stands for anything! We sheepishly tolerate every imaginable form of filth, so long as it is politically expedient, and we pitifully “justify” our cowardice by insisting such blatant evil is “cultural.”

The irony is that the immoral are filing complaints against the moral. Truly backwards! Do you blame honest and truthful Afgani for distrusting us?

Our brave men and women who try to help, are punished. Our medical teams try to put young boys back together, only to see them abused again, and nothing is ever done about it. But, Heaven forbid that we talk in a “derogatory” manner about another “culture.” That would be “insensitive!”

Child rape, even when widely accepted within Islamic “culture,” is still a crime. Sorry, but we don’t not have to “accept” this heinous filth as “ normal,” even when amoral leftists in the current Administration insist we do. “Cultural relativism,” whatever that means, does not absolve these monsters of their vile behavior and their hideous inhumanity.

In the 1800s, Hindu priests in India complained to British authorities about their prohibition of the practice of “Sati.” This was the quaint, and age-old, custom of burning a widow alive on the funeral pyre of her husband.

The British reply was:

“Be it so! This burning of widows is your ‘custom;’ prepare the funeral pile.

But, our nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive, we hang them and then confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets upon which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed.

Let us all act according to our national ‘customs,’ eh?”

Not surprisingly, the “cultural practice” of “sati” quickly became an embarrassing and distant memory!

In those days, Western culture actually stood for something!

“Who are good for making excuses, are seldom good for anything else!” ~ Benjamin Franklin
