Making America Great Means Exposing ‘W’

United States -(AmmoLand.com)- Making America great again, the theme of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, depends on dispelling the myths and myth-making that made America bad.

Beginning with George W. Bush.

Said Saint Augustine: “The confession of evil works is the first beginning of good works.”

The Republican Party under Bush did the devil’s work. Bar the sainted Ron Paul, not a dog of a Republican lifted his leg in protest of the unjust war on Iraq.

To embark on the good, the GOP must come clean about the bad. To that end, Donald Trump has begun a vital process of expiation.

Recarving Rushmore: Ranking the Presidents on Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty : http://tiny.cc/hstg9x

The 43rd president is categorized as “bad” and ranked 37th by Ivan Eland, author of “Recarving Rushmore: Ranking the Presidents on Peace, Prosperity, and Liberty.”

Having undermined the republic at home and peace abroad, “Bush’s presidency,” avers Eland, “was one of the worst of all time.”

Coming to terms with the Bush legacy, moreover, ought to prevent the rise of another Bush.

For the bogus Bush Doctrine is alive and well-exploited in the words and promises of each of the Republican candidates, other than Donald Trump.

The Bush dictum of fighting them over there so they don’t come here —as if Islamic State can’t, won’t and hasn’t attacked there and here—is alive and well-exploited by almost every fork-tongued politician in the Republican and Democratic races.

Other than Trump and Bernie Sanders, there’s a potatoes vs. spuds quality to the foreign policy articulated by both sides.

Each time the interchangeable John Kasich or Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush are asked about death by Muslim in the United States; they whip out that dumb “W” Doctrine, tethering attacks like San Bernardino in the US to wars the US should be waging over in the Middle East, and will be waging if these candidates have their way.

If you liked Bush’s willful and criminal war on Iraq; if you enjoyed watching aw-shucks “W” “Shock and Awe” Iraq to kingdom come with BLU-82s—boy, do you have a treat in store.

If you took pleasure in Bush unseating and executing law-and-order leader Saddam Hussein; you’ll love the plans Rubio, Kasich and Brother Jeb have for Bashar Assad and his family. As for Vladimir Putin, the not-so-comical three stooges have practically diarized conflagration with Russia.

I almost forgot: If you licked your chops when Bush disarmed dem little Iraqi boys by littering their playgrounds with cluster bomblets; your vampiric urges will be sated. In Bush’s Baghdad, hospitals teamed with limbless kids successfully disarmed. The Rubio-Kasich-Bush bandidos will similarly oblige their supporters. Happy times are ahead for their acolytes. …

Bush advanced the criminal police state by signing the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act of 2004. Now any cop in America plus retired cops can carry without a state license, overriding state sovereignty. NRA did their part to sell out to advance the criminal police state. When it was time to pass a carry bill in Illinois in 2013, NRA lobbyist Todd Vandermyde put Duty to Inform w/ criminal penalties in Rep. Brandon Phelps HB183 “NRA backed” carry bill, because the anti-gun Chiefs of Police wanted it. Off-duty cops and retired cops don’t have DTI, but it gives legal cover… Read more »

jon,” too liberal for this site”, I know you read the comments. Any author criticizing right wing politics or warfare is attacked. It is a good thing to read and understand other people’s opinions, even if you disagree. And jon, the President that led us into war against Iraq was at best misled and at worst a vindictive murderer.

This article is pure bullsh%t based on 0 facts. I’m sure different decisions would be made now with the help of 20/20 hindsight but they did what they did based on the intelligence provided to them. The Military loves George Bush for good reason – he always had their back and helped them in any way he could. Ask Marcus Lutrell what he thinks of George and you’ll get the straight dope.

Right about now there are probably a lot of people wishing America was still in the same condition it was under “W”.

Sorry people, but she is 100% correct, Bush 2 was so bad and so corrupt, we got OBAMA the imposter as a direct result. Clinton , who never inhaled, paved the way for us to accept Bush 2 who snorted and bush 2 paved the way for Barry. Clinton, bush 2, obama, should all be hung fro treason. Bush 2 sucked, stop making excuses and start throwing out your congressman or senator as they continue you to “deal” us all to hell. left wing right wing, black or white, LBG, Islam, refugee, divide and conquer. I am amazed at how many left-wing cretins try to pass themselves as a Libertarian. This author is as uninformed as ObaMao is about military strategy. She has never served in the military, she has never confronted the enemy, she has never honored her country with any personal sacrifice. Walk the walk, Ms. Mercer before you open your twat again and show everyone what a journalistic whore you really are. Your hyperbolic criticism of Bush is predicated on false flags. I firmly believe there were WMDs in Iraq and Hussein “donated” them to Assad in Syria before he was taken… Read more »

The author is correct, although a little liberal for this site. I personally campaigned with letters and word of mouth and e-mail against the invasion of Iraq. There was and still is no justification for that war. That mistake cost our nation in lives, billions of dollars and created tremendous world distrust and resentment. She paints with too broad a brush and I do not agree with all she says.

Stating that “BUSH is a criminal and so is the entire BUSH Family” is mere name calling that reflects poorly on the commenter. And please, milkrat, clean up your grammar and punctuation. If you are trying to support the author that is the original subject of this line of comments, then you are not helping her because it makes it look like her entire audience are people like yourself. Many of us lived through that experience and didn’t just read about it in some liberal tripe, so just save the ignorance is bliss baloney. We have a better understanding of… Read more »

Hi, I am a Veteran of 22 years and 240% VA rated (cumulative) disabled service connected. I was over there I fought in the middle east, In Beirut, In Kuwait and in Iraq. I also fought in wars from Viet Nam to Grenada Panama to Chile and El Salvadore. The “cold war” was not as “cold” as our bleedership would have you to believe. Yes Iraq was a WAR CRIM. Any fool who thinks otherwise is just that a fool. How can ANY of you justify the deaths of 1.5 MILLION Iraqi people as collaterals when the excuse was going… Read more »

Tell me again how the attack on the WTC was caused by Saddam Hussein because in all they years since not one shred of evidence linked Saddam to the WTC attacks meanwhile there is TONNES of evidence linking Israel and Egypt to it.

i dont recall anyone sane ever saying sadman brought down the wtc. i think the tall dude in a robe was blamed.
ps thanks for calling me a brain dead idiot.
i always wondered where i fit in.

It irks me every time I hear a liberal talk about the W and that war. I remember all that transpired leading up to the invasion like it was yesterday. Very few on both side was opposed. Even the Clintons was on board. No one knew what they was going to find. All we did know was Saddam was a bad man, Even killing his own people, He had to go. In that aspect we did what we set out to do.

The truth is a MOFO – Funny how may replies here want to demonize the author instead of facing the truth – BUSH is a Criminal and so is the entire BUSH Family.

But then again its just so much easier to blame someone else for the policy’s and “laws” passed during his administration that enabled Obama to do what he is doing.

Willful Ignorance is Bliss in “Murica

Carry On.

WTH is a paleolibertarian? There is no such thing unless someone is trying to invent a fancy title for themselves and sound like an ultra deep thinker. She belongs to a non-profit (read unprofitable) think tank. She’s a stinking liberal through and through. “If you took pleasure in Bush unseating and executing law-and-order leader Saddam Hussein”… You’re damned right I did. W may not have been our best president but he stood up for this country during one of it’s darkest hours and fought back instead of licking the boots of Saddam and other Middle East leaders the way our… Read more »

This liberal writer mentions “The Republican Party under Bush did the devil’s work. Bar the sainted Ron Paul, not a dog of a Republican lifted his leg in protest of the unjust war on Iraq”. She fails to mention a multi-nation collection of agencies/fact & feedback to include information from members of Hussein’s own staff and military. I have personally been to Iraq multiple times and can tell you that I have no doubt , at one time, Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Additionally, I don’t hesitate to imagine a scenario in which the Iraqi leader had the means… Read more »

Please……..If I want to read revisionist history I will go to a liberal website. The opinions this author assumes were there, were not. I was in the Army before and after 9/11. I went to Afghanistan and Iraq. I have not forgotten what the justification was, what was actually found, and what the media continues to perpetrate. It’s this type of phoniness that makes every “thanks for your service,” seem like an empty gesture.
