Titusville, Fla. -(Ammoland.com)- “America's scores of millions of law-abiding gun owners should thank the NRA for ripping Hillary and endorsing Trump for president this past weekend during its annual meetings,” John M. Snyder said here today. “Other pro-gun groups now should follow suit,” he added.
Louisville, Kentucky is the scene this year of the National Rifle Association convention.
Snyder noted, “Hillary wants to gut individual gun rights. Donald wants to protect the Second Amendment. He made that clear again Friday in an NRA speech. Earlier he stated, ‘We're going to cherish the Second Amendment.'
“In a number of statements as well as in a chapter on the right to keep and arms in his book CRIPPLED AMERICA, Trump insists he intends as president to stand up for the individual Second Amendment civil right to keep and bear arms. He holds a permit to carry a concealed firearm. He favors public policy that would allow a citizen with a state-issued permit to carry a concealed firearm to carry the gun throughout the United States.”
Snyder said that Trump, an NRA Life Member, “opposes gun controls sought by Clinton. Hillary has proposed the indefinite extension of the instant background checks for acquisition of firearms by changing the amounts of time the FBI has to perform the checks, multiplying the regulations on gun sales at gun shows and guns sold online, allowing crime victims to sue gun manufacturers and gun sellers.
“Clinton also proposes to expand the definition of domestic violence. She favors the inclusion of ‘dating relationships' in the definition. She wants to use the expanded definition to ban individuals from owning guns.'”
Snyder stated, “Hillary has indicated she would like to go beyond what anti-gun President Barack Hussein Obama has done in issuing anti-gun executive orders. She thinks the gun ban in Australia is ‘worth looking at' as a model for government policy here in our own United States of America.
“Trump said ‘Hillary wants to take your guns away and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment…We're going to cherish the Second Amendment, we're going to take care of the Second Amendment.'”
Snyder said, “Law-abiding gun owners and pro-gun groups should take a stand now. They should highlight the importance this year of the presidential election, help make America great again, and Go Trump!”
