There are a couple variations of this sight. The base model has QD, 6 levels of brightness and manual controls. It is the least expensive of the various models. Newer models with or without QD, 8 levels of brightness aind motion sensors can be had at a higher cost. I have and love the base model.

I’ve been hesitant on submitting an EOTech refund. The “Sightmark Ultra Shot M-Spec Reflex Sight” seems like a good alternative. However, Amazon lists it without the “motion-sensor auto-on/off technology.” I would seriously consider the Sighmark if it really did have “auto-on/off technology”.

If your M-Spec as tested has ” motion-sensor auto-on/off technology”, then it must be a new model or special Police/Military M-Spec model that is different from mine, and different than the Owners Manual on Sightmark’s website. My M-spec requires using the push buttons to turn it on and off. The manual states “Make sure that your Sightmark Ultra Shot M-Spec Reflex Sight is securely attached to your rifle before storing, and be sure that the unit is turned off.”
