features a light and smooth double-action-only trigger. Maybe smooth, but light? 10 lbs is NOT light. Try again

How can you claim its all metal then say it has an alum frame WTF?

Brad

Because aluminum IS metal….they didn’t claim it to be steel.

Dan

Looks like they are going after the popular Kimber Micro.

My wife loves hers (regular RM380). We bought it a couple of years ago at a black Friday sale for $199, at the time Remminton had a $100 rebate, so we ended up paying $99. All metal gun, super easy to rack, small and light – for that price were more than happy with it.

I got that same deal, but paid $125. Sights are pretty difficult to pick up in low light, but for me it points so naturally I can group well at 10 yards with it. My wife can’t hit the side of barn with this gun and shoots her Ruger LC9S much better. It has never had a FTF or FTE even with bulk reloads purchased online. You can still get them pretty cheap and I trust it as my pocket carry gun in the summer.

No thanks. I’ll keep my Honor Guard 9mm. Same size, better trigger, better sights, much easier to field strip to clean.

it is not a target pistol. use it to get somebody out of your face or off of your back. a long deliberate trigger pull is one built in safety. the other safety is between your ears. your wife will have no problems with the slide. unlike others, all plastic parts are visible. comes with two mags. very well made. use quality ammo (brass), your life may depend on it. very happy with the ones i stole when Remington had them on sale(less than $200). given the chance will do it again, but bigger. the slide retention pin will not fall… Read more »

Does it have a safety ??

JDC

Bob,
No, the RM-380 does not. It has a very hefty double action trigger pull. Unlikely you’d have a negligent discharge with a 10# trigger.

Green Mtn. Boy

Truly sad what has become of Remington.

Roy D.

Remington, just stop already.

Wild Bill

@GMB and Roy D, Yes. Apparently, Remmy thinks that “Executives” are only capable of handling a .380. Maybe the design engineers are thinking of the Remington executives!
