USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Anti-2ndAmendment Radicals in congress want to ban suppressors. But why?
Well, they’d like you to believe that suppressors encourage murderers to go on killing sprees because somehow their guns will magically become silent. They actually try calling them “silencers,” hoping the term will catch on so they can fool the people who aren’t paying attention. Those anti-gun folks who don’t know any better, but know that they fear guns, will fall for anything if they are politically motivated or scared enough.
The truth is, criminals don’t use suppressors because they’re heavy, they make firearms much harder to hide and they don’t quiet a gun nearly enough to justify their use in a crime, but that doesn’t stop the anti-gun crowd from pushing the fake narrative about suppressors. Try telling an Anti-Gunner that suppressors are never used in mass killings and they will rebut with the one case in which a suppressor was found. They are trained to have the Virginia Beach killing ready-to-go, because it is the only one they know of where a suppressor was found at the scene.
Hardly justification to ban the item, but remember, Anti-Gunners don’t care about saving lives as much as they want to suppress YOU and they will take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself.
The anti-gun crowd will act as though, had it not been for the suppressor, the killing would not have occurred. They will push the narrative that, if suppressors are banned, lives will be saved. I would argue that suppressors save lives, because if one’s hearing is damaged, they may be a risk when driving or engaging in other activities that require acute auditory capability.
So what do suppressors do? They help protect the hearing of gun-owners.
They reduce noise pollution (often important when hunting) and they can make firearms training more comfortable. Anti-Gunners don’t care about your hearing, they hate the idea of hunting and they don’t want you to be more proficient with your firearms, so none of these things matter to them.
Take an AR-15 for example, (one of the most commonly owned rifles in America.) Unsuppressed, the AR-15 produces about 165 decibels. A suppressed AR-15 will produce about 132 decibels. That’s just below the CDC occupational hazard limit of 140 decibels but still louder than a Ted Nugent concert. A suppressed rifle is also louder than a siren and thunder, which both come in around 120 decibels.
So why do the dishonest Gun-Grabbers lie to you? Well, they’re not trying to fool gun-owners because we won’t buy their nonsense for a minute. They want to fool those who don’t know any better. Gun Grabbers want to scare people into supporting their policies that further restrict the rights of their own fellow citizens. What better way to push laws through, than to scare people and make them believe that killers are out there, roaming through neighborhoods, massacring people with suppressors and no one can even hear it happening?
Many Anti-Gunners are waking up to the lies of the anti-gun left. They are starting to realize that they’ve been fooled by the politicians they once trusted. Some are beginning to understand that if their political-puppet-masters will mislead them on this topic, it is quite possible that they have been and will be misled on many others. But this doesn’t stop the Anti-2ndAmendment Radicals and their lobbying groups from constantly attacking the right to keep and bear. \
So although they hope to disarm law-abiding citizens, by implementing laws that violate your rights, they forget, that just like our guns, real Americans won’t be silenced.

The term “silencer” is not only an acceptable term for suppressors it is also a ratified legal term. You can fill out all of your forms (2,3,4,5) with the term silencer. The company who first developed the suppressor called them silencers. The picture you have above has SILENCER Co suppressors in it. Saying Silencer is a term developed by the left just makes you sound like an ignorant piece of garbage and it is ignorant garbage like that which gives the left ground to stand on. Take this article down before we all get bundled in with your retardation.

@Wild Bill Ratified just means given formal consent to. Since “silencer” is a valid term for use on the forms he listed, formal, legal, consent has been given to accept it. The term works though other words probably would have made for a better choice. If you use something like the word “can” on your forms as a stand in for suppressor your forms would be kicked back. A large portion of the anti gunners are fools, with little or no knowledge of firearms, other than they make a loud noise and a bullet comes out. Gun are evil but the criminals that use them are not to blame, only people that defend themselves with guns from the criminals are evil, robbing the criminal of due process, self defense takes that away. Also many of them would likely subscribe to the Neville Chamberlain school of national defense.

The only reason why suppressor were included in the illegal 1934 gun control act was because some clown with the fish and game department had a ‘buddy’ who was a senator, and told him to include suppressor in the bill as that would stop all poaching forever! What does one expect from politicians and bureaucrats who get their facts from Hollywood? We have a great control for our government its called the constitution,a simple document that should be read and indeed pledged allegiance to. Our officials swear a oath to protect it and we should hold them accountable to that oath. It’s easy for a judge and jury to determine if the oath is broken and real consequences should be inflicted for this crime. I don’t know if suppressors will totally become totally illegal, but they will never be free from tax and registration.. The government Will Never Surrender a $200 tax nor the right to come kick your door in at 3 in the morning to check and see if you have the suppressor there.. Anyone that pays that tax, and filled out that paperwork, subjects themselves to a search of their residence (for the suppressor).. Wrong in so many ways if you ever bother to pull your head out of your ass and pay attention to those laws and regulations and regarding suppressors you would find out that all you have to do is pay the $200 tax. Wait to get your stabbed in the mail then go pick up your suppressor and you can move wherever the f*** you feel like meaning of the ATF has no damn clue where your suppressors hiding.

I am getting the feeling Trump leans more to the left than the right on our second amendment . Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987. He’s since that time has changed his party affiliation five times. In 1999, Trump changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York. In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic. Trump changes party affiliation to meet his needs and ran for POTUS as a Republican.
Party registration means nothing. When I lived in CA where one needs to be registered with party to vote in their primary – I would register with whichever party I felt my primary vote would matter more. Then vote how you really feel in the general election. In Texas voter registration does not include party. Just walk in and pick which line to stand in. I am 100% pro suppressor. I think we should be able to buy them in Walmart sporting goods. However, we should be honest and not be part of the propaganda machine. They are called silencers. Some manufacturers have silencer I their name. The ATF calls them silencers. Now let’s make them easy to obtain for everyone.

Examples:
Couldn’t give “Spider” crabs away, until the name was changed to “King” crab. Now they go for $20/lb.
Nobody wanted, “Eagle Eye” apples, but after the name was changed to “Delicious” they became (for a time) the most popular apple on the market.

Cyborg is correct, they are more like ‘ol glass packs on an 80’s Chevy pick-up than a movie depicted supressor. They bring the sound just barely under “deafining.”
They majority of Americans, including our president, just do not have any experience with them. So fear is the easy and probable instinct to choose first. Get some experience, get a clue.
