Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- On January 23rd, the New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on Senate Bill 469, sponsored by Senator Jeanne Dietsch (D – District 9), at 10:00 AM in Room 100 of the State House.

NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are encouraged to attend this hearing in order to express opposition to this anti-shooting range bill. If you are unable to attend, please contact committee members and urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 469.

Take Action Button

Senate Bill 469 would repeal New Hampshire’s shooting range protection law by allowing municipalities to subject already-existing shooting ranges to noise ordinances, while also making it easier for individuals to sue local gun ranges for noise violations. Currently, under New Hampshire law, shooting ranges are immune from lawsuits as long as they complied with existing noise ordinances at the time the range opened.

This legislation would endanger shooting ranges, even if they operate safely and are otherwise in full compliance with the law. Municipalities and individuals could use these ordinances to effectively shut down ranges with costly renovations, unreasonable court fees, hiatus, or even closure of operations. Shooting ranges provide a safe environment for law-abiding individuals to learn, practice, and train. They should not be regulated out of existence.

Again, please click “Take Action” above to contact committee members and urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 469. Please continue to check www.nraila.org and your email inbox for NRA-ILA alerts on additional public hearings next week.

Another libtard feminist who wants to take away our right to enjoy our hobby. Where do these useless people come from? And… who are the useless pieces of s___ who vote form these clowns?

Jonesy

Today is supposed to be the day our communists legislatures are to take some kind of vote to make us all serfs.

Jaque

The Communists have had over 70 years of experience manipulating the legal system for so called socialism and social justice. It has led to every law violating the 2nd Amendment, every law protecting illegal immigration, every law that makes it easier to vote than opening a door, every law that allows the murder of babies, and hundreds if not thousands more that move America toward Communism. If these rats cannot ban guns and ammunition outright they will close down the gun stores, gunsmiths, gun ranges, and more. These communists have infinite funding from communists like Bloomberg, Soros, and every Silicon… Read more »

This gets posted on Ammoland four days after the fact. I sure hope the people of New Hampshire received more timely notification of this hearing.

RicktheBear

We (I) actually did receive notice in time for the hearing. Good point, though.

You are a week too late with this. some of us only found out about it 3 days in advance. The big kicker about this bill is that if there is more than one shot fired in two seconds on the entire firing range, they would be able to shut the whole place down. You read that correctly. If any one hears more than one loud noise in any 2 seconds between dawn and dusk, they can file charges against the individuals that allowed that to happen, even if they are a mile away. This would not have any effect… Read more »

Gun owners and the people are paying for years of political complacency and letting politicians feel that the constituents they represent don’t matter and that they can do anything they feel like doing. I would hope that people are finally waking up to the dangers that their complacency has produced and put these politicians out of office before they make irreversible changes to our system that will overturn the founding fathers sacrifices and the millions of our country men who made the ultimate sacrifices to preserve the Republics foundations. The principals this country was founded on granted the people in… Read more »

Noise? I live next to two prisons in California and there is a gun range that only government can use. They shoot fully automatic weapons and everything in between. They shoot as early as 6 am and as late as 11:30 pm.
Government bureaucrats can do anything they want and we are powerless to stop them.

Firewagon

LOL! What are they using those ‘prisons’ for? I heard ole what’s-his-face governor was emptying those things onto CA’s already feces and urine plastered streets. You appear late to the ‘exiting party’ going on in CA, better load up.

Seems like an infringement of the right of assembly. Our public servants seems to really dislike people believing in the right to arms to get to gather. Maybe the NRA-ILA could offer a compromise. Say, no more than two shooters at a time be transported to and from the range by an official enforcer for a fee. They could add that one shooter could not train the other in shooting. Of course, the firearm (one allowed per shooter) be dissembled and case sealed for the protection of the officer. I am confidant that the ILA will offer some solution agreeable… Read more »

There is a book out there, published some time ago, titled ‘The Death of Common Sense.’ When the rubber hits the road, we need only view that image looking back at ‘us’ in our mirrors to find those responsible for ‘letting’ these Communist sympathizers to run/ruin the country! BTW, that picture of a newbie making some (first?) attempt to ‘find the target’ with that .22 caliber rifle should be captioned as defining the ‘Death of Common Sense!’ NOBODY would allow anybody wanting to ‘learn’ how to handle a rifle to be pictured in that way, short of having a viewable… Read more »
