I had always wondered why certain knifes were on the stupid illegal to own list. Switchblades, butterfly knives and everything in between are on some government’s list when essentially they have no distinct advantage other than being operated by one hand. Newer designed knives open faster and aren’t illegal.
Idiot politicians and bureaucrats have restricted certain types of knives back in the 50’s, and for some reason are still scared if them even now.
Any object can be,weaponized but in todays world, knives are the least of our problems, politicians and bureaucrats are.

I never worried about not carrying a switchblade. I bought a scabbard for my buck knife. when you pull the knife straight out it automatically opens the blade… Lot of us bikers wore them…If the cops stopped you all you had to do is push the knife forward in the scabbard and the blade was closed when you pulled it out..
