Report: Biden to ‘Move Quickly Against Guns’

Joe Biden Wants to Ban 9mm Pistols
Joe Biden is poised to launch new attacks on Second Amendment rights the day he is sworn into office, reports suggest.

U.S.A.-(AmmoLand.com)- Incoming President-elect Joe Biden “plans to move quickly against guns, adding the issue to his list of first executive orders,” the Washington Examiner is reporting, citing remarks from Stef Feldman, national policy director of Biden’s presidential campaign.

Feldman reportedly said Biden will “make big, bold changes through executive action, not just on policing and climate as we talked about previously, but in healthcare and education on gun violence, on a range of issues.”

But Biden may face an embarrassing dilemma that could dominate his attention. Fox News reported the U.S. Attorney’s office in Delaware has opened an investigation into the younger Biden’s “tax affairs.”

Fox News quoted a statement from Hunter Biden in which the president-elect’s son announced, “I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs. I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

According to Fox News, the Biden-Harris Transition team said: “President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks (in) recent months, only to emerge stronger.”

Some critics are wondering, though, why word of this investigation didn’t come sooner, say, before the Nov. 3 election.

Way back on Oct. 16, the Boston Herald raised this issue in an editorial headlined, “Mainstream media’s silence on Biden story scandalous.” What the Herald editorial board wrote could be considered the alarm everyone ignored:

“If any doubt remained that the mainstream media is a subset of the Democratic Party, this should dispel it. We’ve gone through three and a half years of speculation, conjecture and “sources said” stories about President Trump, complete with periodic armchair analysis by psychiatrists who’ve weighed in on his mental health.

“The president has always been seen as fair game, but as one can see, the game isn’t fair.”

With presumable President-elect Biden now poised to launch an all-out war on a cornerstone of the Bill of Rights—the same list which begins with the First Amendment protecting the establishment press in its own crusade against the Second—grassroots activists can raise the prickly question about how fair, or even objective, the media will be as the new administration unleashes its effort to crush the Constitution’s “Fail Safe” provision.

The elder Biden, a perennial gun-control proponent during his 47 years inside the Beltway, posted his plan to “end the gun violence epidemic” months ago online, erasing any doubts about his intentions once in the White House. His gun control agenda could have been written by Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, and many believe it probably was.

The former vice president under anti-gun President Barack Obama faces only one possible roadblock, a Republican Senate majority. That will be determined by a special election on Jan. 5 in Georgia when both U.S. Senate seats, now occupied by incumbent Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, are on the ballot. They are being challenged by far-left Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock.

Gun control proponents are already looking at the potential for more gun restrictions. In an Op-Ed published by the Baltimore Sun, Joseph V. Sakran and Igor Volsky wrote “the president-elect can and must take decisive action to respond to Americans’ call for safer communities.”

Sakran is the director of emergency general surgery and a trauma surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Volsky is the executive director of Guns Down America, a gun control group.

The newspaper recently noted a sharp rise in Maryland gun sales apparently spurred by the looming Biden presidency. It is part of a national trend, with gun sales going up across the country.

But the Biden administration isn’t the only force moving quickly on the gun issue. Gun rights organizations including the Second Amendment Foundation are already ramping things up with at least a half-dozen lawsuits filed in recent weeks and more on the horizon.

SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb acknowledged in a recent interview that the confirmation of Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, creating a conservative majority, provided a green light for increased legal activity.

Biden is likely to become another president whose term in office will actually result in strong gun sales. Indeed, that already appears to be shaping up and he hasn’t even been sworn in.

According to Forbes, Smith & Wesson reported “sales more than doubled” during the financial quarter that ended Oct. 31.

“The company also reported net income of $52.2 million for the quarter, compared to $1.3 million in the year-ago quarter, and said it has zero net debt,” Forbes reported.

While the annual January Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show has been canceled for 2021, there appears little doubt the firearms industry will continue enjoying healthy sales.

There is something else in the air, too, and it’s not just snow. Biden and his media cheerleaders are ready to push the most restrictive gun control agenda since Democrats took control in Richmond, Virginia or even Sacramento, California.

What they may not be fully taking into account is the ferocity with which the Second Amendment community may push back.

17 cops break into the wrong apartment looking for an “illegal gun.” Completely innocent woman was naked in her bedroom. They handcuff her naked and she keeps telling them they have the wrong apartment. Cops tell her to relax.

https://reason.com/2020/12/15/video-shows-chicago-police-humiliating-naked-woman-during-wrong-door-raid/

The government sues to keep the video secret, but it is aired anyhow.

And some people think it will be an alliance of the UN and “they” who will be coming for guns.

Thanks. The Dominion CEO was questioned today by politicians. They should just stop – they don’t even know the right questions to ask. It would be nice to get the politicians and lawyers out of the process and have real criminal investigators with IT experts question the CEO under oath and perform the investigation properly.

And will we find out the Bidens stocks are heavily invested in firearms when they investigate Hunter & family ? As far as Georgia, No prosecutions for known double voting. And no changes in pollsters. So more of the same in Jan. https://realclearinvestigations.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=61572bb8acf7b8704903af7b8&id=125d02b901&e=40caaeb108

“Presumptive” President-Elect is the correct term or more simply Senator Biden since one can claim that title for life. And who doesn’t laugh in disgust at Biden on the stage with the phony “Office of the President Elect” backdrop. Where the hell did that come from?

If Biden actually gets sworn in he will be illegitimate. Everybody will know that he is not the duly elected POTUS. Thererefore he has no real power and he will not be my president. The civil war started last summer (the summer of love, don’t you know?) and continues to this day. Kyle Rittenhouse was the first prisoner of war and BLM is still fighting in Portland for the same things they previously fought for? Whew!

Trump is going to “declare marshal [sic] law” to protect us from what?

The people who stood by and watched and did nothing in Portland were armed government employees.

The people who arrested Kyle (and did not arrest the people who were attempting murder) were armed government employees.

And you think declaring martial law (during which our freedoms would be suspended) and having armed government employees enforce the martial law is the answer?

No thank you.

It is not a thirst for more government authority. It is what he has to do to get the truth out to our Republic so both sides can see what has happened. Patriot Solutions has made reference to a few of these things that I believe have already happened. Trump signed an Executive order in 2018 that will allow him and his fellow patriots to put the kebash on high tech and social media that is controlling how Trump is being viewed by the mass majority of the public, which he has been serving for the last 4 years. I see – thanks.

I don’t think martial law will end well however.

The big tech company censorship could have been resolved in 2017 by taking away their exemption from liable/slander because they were exercising editorial control and they were not merely providing a platform.

Republican politicians didn’t act, for some reason.

I really don’t think that, in 2017, anyone ,especially Trump saw how far this war, this conspiracy against the U.S, had gone. It is in the highest of our government and Federal Policing agencies. The CIA had no business spying on a presidential campaign, the FBI, going after CArter Paige, or General Flynn. I think Trump is pretty well enlightened now and is waaaay ahead of our Adversaries. I really hope I and many others are right because I dread having to take the life of a fellow American, especially if they are misinformed.

I agree that censorship and misinformation was increased significantly after 2017 and 2018 when Republicans held a majority in the House and Senate.

However, Trump, rightfully, was complaining about censorship and bias during the 2016 election. Republicans should have revoked the liable/slander exemption when they had the chance.

Here is how I think all this gun grabbing will go down. Once the ATF goes through the local gun shop 4473 logs, they will know who has at least taken possession of what guns. They will not come to your house and confront you there. They will arrest you during a traffic stop. Where you don’t have access to any of your treasures. Actually, it’s unlikely that anyone will be coming for you. That isn’t how technocracies work. You’ll receive a letter demanding that you surrender your “noncompliant” firearm. If you don’t , you might get SWAT-ted, but it’s much more likely that you’ll find yourself suddenly without a job and unable to access your bank accounts and credit cards. Study how the Chinese social credit score system works. The Deep State doesn’t have the resources to arrest and incarcerate the more than 50% of the population who won’t go along with the program. And, no more entrapment over some ridiculous, unnecessary law that does nothing to reduce crime.

If they are not going to reverse laws related to SBSs, SBRs, etc., the penalty should be reduced to a small fine and requirement to comply. They use the threat of felony convictions, jail time, and massive fines to intimidate people.

Meanwhile, the people who actually commit violent crimes are rarely arrested, convicted, and serve meaningful sentences.

Why weren’t minor NFA violations decriminalized in 2017 and 2018?

I suspect what Commie-law and he have planned is to put AR-15’s (or 14’s according to Joe) on the NFA. Then you become a felon if you don’t register it. Once registered, easier to confiscate. Oh, and if you get caught, as a felon, you’ve just lost your firearms rights.

If you read through my posts you will see that I believe LEOs are not a monolithic entity.

Some LEOs will enforce the laws enthusiastically unless they perceive they will be ostracized by their community.

Some LEOs will not enforce the laws no matter what.

Some local LEOs will stand by and watch federal LEOs do terrible things (August 1992 in Idaho is a good example).

I have posted how the sheriff in my county has publicly stated he will not enforce mask laws. I support his re-election.

Indeed, our Sheriffs are a different breed than “police officers”. They’re standing with the Constitution. That is precisely why the leftists are working so hard to re-establish their status as “Appointed” instead of “Elected”. But people aren’t thinking through what will REALLY happen when doors start getting bashed down and American gun owners start dying because they won’t give up their guns. Will, Elisa seems to have given this more thought than you have shown by sniping at her. She pointed out the differing processes that LEOs and Sheriffs have being instated. She’s pointed out that the local LEOs will have an incentive to stay home and guard their families rather than attack neighbors who know where they live. She thinks that illegals and UN troops are more likely to be used against the population. Illegals already are rioting in favor of closing ICE and furthering DACA. They will, most likely, have help from semi-organized Left wing groups such as Antifa and… Read more »

There are a lot of sides to politics. I keep things simple, anyone who believes in these three things is on the same side as me:

  • Smaller, less intrusive, less powerful, less expensive government
  • Reduce illegal immigration
  • No more gun control

While I have a lot of other policy positions, by bringing them into the mix it creates division. Totalitarians depend on division within the ranks of Republicans.

Some people still don’t believe that a large percentage of LEOs are on their own side.

Meanwhile, nothing will be done to stop the habitual violent criminals in high crime neighborhoods. That crime is necessary to justify even more gun control measures.

Or the courts stopping him. For the grand election conspiracy to have succeeded Biden needed all branches of government to cover for him. And they will continue to cover for him as he turns America into a communist state. The supreme court proved today whose ideogy for America they want. Communism.

The only way forward is resistance. To surrender is death

@GMB – I would contend that eight years are not enough. Harris will do her best to retain biden as figurehead, and assassin’s target, for eight years while she actually runs the government. Her plan is to run the country for sixteen years, while betting she can further change the laws to be ruler for life.

two things: as she wprks to maintain Dopey Joey as an assassin’s target she makes herself one as well. And two, she earned her way in Californoa politics by being Willie’s slick willie maker. Without such a prop in DC, how will she maintain her pull? She is such a tyrant no one will tolerate her schtick for long enough to matter. As she works her way through the willie pool in DC she will make plenty of enemies. She isonly useful as long as she can be manipulated. To be manipulated she has to have something to trade.
