G-S173 features include:

  • Binary®/Semiautomatic selector paddle
  • Front and rear tritium night sights
  • Optics ready to accommodate multiple adapter plates (sold separately)
  • Semi/Binary® mode indicator on back plate
  • High-tactile front and rear slide serrations
  • Anti-glare slide top stripe serrations

In Binary® mode, a single round is fired when the trigger is pulled and a single round is fired when the trigger is released. One of the revered safety features incorporated into all Franklin Armory BFS™ triggers is the ability to cancel the release round. To cancel the release round on G-S173, simply move the selector lever located on the slide from Binary® to the “semi” position before releasing the trigger.

I know it’s binary, you know it’s binary but everyone at the ATF and at the capital in Washington D.C is going to look at the arrogant video clip and see nothing but “Machine Gun”!

Why don’t we just send I great big F^K YOU card to the ATF so we can better get their attention?

One of my “Grail Guns” is an HKMP5SD, but when a transferable pre-86 item comes on the market, it costs as much as a new car. I’ve considered getting an HK or clone pistol, putting a stock on it ($200 SBR stamp) plus adding a good suppressor (Another $200 stamp) to make a semi-auto HKMP5SD clone. Now, a binary trigger on that would make sense – I could still keep my shots on target.
