New Jersey Second Amendment Society

New Jersey --(Ammoland.com)- I want everyone to get ready for a new round of Rallies and Hearings.

We have a little time to breathe and prepare since Senator Sweeney seems to want to wait until April.

Those people who are predisposed to do so, PLEASE start reading up on the techniques of NON-VIOLENT CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE.

Resources:

There is a definite art and science to doing it effectively while keeping the participants safe. I want this done right. *IF* you are SINCERELY willing to do the necessary work, and you are willing to become volunteer who will train others (including future trainers), please contact volunteers@nj2as.com and let Bob know.

Once we have a few people ready to go, I will see that you get proper training. We must be prepared to take this fight to the next level. We have tried the courts, we have tried the legislature, and we have reached out to the Executive branch, all to no avail.

There *IS* no redress of our LEGITIMATE grievances within the three branches of NJ government. In a SINCERE effort to avoid an unhappy outcome, we must attempt to reach the public through acts of non-violent civil disobedience.

This is not easy and it will take time, but the alternative at this point is much less attractive. So, please think about whether or not you believe in this approach strongly enough to become a trainer. If so, volunteer.

Thank you,
Frank Jack Fiamingo
President – NJ2AS

    1. Try it…but ya’ll know what the end game will have to be. It is inevitable that free men must fight from time to time.

    2. Non-violent civil disobedience ? Yeah right…yall let me know how that works out. HBH

    3. Dan, HBH,

Civil disobedience is the way we have to go. If you want to make a vainglorious stand fighting the govt go ahead. The rest of us will read the headlines about how we’re all gun toting terrorists & our movement will be crushed. Please read up on the thinker who started the whole civil disobedience idea, Henry David Thoreau:

      Civil Disobedience

I heartily accept the motto, “That government is best which governs least”; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe- “That government is best which governs not at all”; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have. Government is at best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient. The objections which have been brought against a standing army, and they are many and weighty, and deserve to prevail, may also at last be brought against a standing government. The standing army is only an arm of the standing government. The government itself, which is only the mode which the people have chosen to execute their will, is equally liable to be abused and perverted before the people can act through it. Witness the present Mexican war, the work of comparatively a few individuals using the standing government as their tool; for, in the outset, the people would not have consented to this measure.

If a thousand men were not to pay their tax-bills this year, that would not be a violent and bloody measure, as it would be to pay them, and enable the State to commit violence and shed innocent blood. This is, in fact, the definition of a peaceable revolution, if any such is possible. If the tax-gatherer, or any other public officer, asks me, as one has done, “But what shall I do?” my answer is, “If you really wish to do anything, resign your office.” When the subject has refused allegiance, and the officer has resigned his office, then the revolution is accomplished.

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison. The proper place today, the only place which Massachusetts has provided for her freer and less desponding spirits, is in her prisons, to be put out and locked out of the State by her own act, as they have already put themselves out by their principles. It is there that the fugitive slave, and the Mexican prisoner on parole, and the Indian come to plead the wrongs of his race should find them; on that separate, but more free and honorable, ground, where the State places those who are not with her, but against her- the only house in a slave State in which a free man can abide with honor. If any think that their influence would be lost there, and their voices no longer afflict the ear of the State, that they would not be as an enemy within its walls, they do not know by how much truth is stronger than error, nor how much more eloquently and effectively he can combat injustice who has experienced a little in his own person. Cast your whole vote, not a strip of paper merely, but your whole influence. A minority is powerless while it conforms to the majority; it is not even a minority then; but it is irresistible when it clogs by its whole weight. If the alternative is to keep all just men in prison, or give up war and slavery, the State will not hesitate which to choose. But even suppose blood should flow. Is there not a sort of blood shed when the conscience is wounded? Through this wound a man’s real manhood and immortality flow out, and he bleeds to an everlasting death. I see this blood flowing now.

This is how you have to start. Legally and peacefully. You’ll lose public support if you just start shooting things up now. Once things get going, there might even have to be a few martyrs. The deaths of a couple of patriotic, young, attractive men and women will help win the public over to our side, and to show the evils of the other side, the Bad Guys. Wait. Isn’t this how the government does it?

    6. This is how to start. Email all your representatives and tell them how you feel and will not vote for them ever again, if they let us down. When we have done everything we can do, legally, it is then up to the government what our next step will be. Do they think they can take on 100+ million gun owners in the US? We are not afraid of the UN, they run like cowards, and the US always has to carry them. Does Obama have trillions more to “try” to disarm us? Instead of concentrating on the real problems of the country, he is fiddling while Washington burns. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would rather see the US rebuilt from ashes than to take another step down the road that Obama is trying to lead us.

Remember civil rights and the people who sacrificed so much to attain civil rights for all Americans.Martin Luther King was all about non-violent civil disobedience. He was killed.Robert Kennedy wanted civil rights for all men. They killed him.Malcolm X wanted civil rights. They killed him.I will try the peaceful way but we must prepare for uprising and War.I pray that things will calm down and there will be no Nationwide Gun/Magazine ban Bill passed and signed by President Obama.E-mail all your Senators and Representatives.E-mail the President,Vice-President and any elected member in our government that can help us.We will stand watch and monitor our Government and act according to their actions if they are against us.You can’t jail a 100 million gun owners or use money to buy back our weapons. It would cost far too much. We’re going to get through this as we have in the past as long as we stand together.

    8. Defending Gun Rights With Civil Disobedience

The gun owners of New Jersey have had enough! They’ve tried asking for their rights, they’ve tried protesting in the streets. It’s not working. The tyrants in Trenton are going to take their gun rights away regardless.
