New Jersey --(Ammoland.com)- Yesterday the New Jersey Legislature finalized its anti-second amendment legislative package, including in it an outright ban of the .50 BMG.

In addition to the .50BMG ban the package suspends Second Amendment rights without proof of firearms training, imposes a seven-day waiting period for handgun purchases, ends all private sales, and effectively creates a registry of ammunition purchases and long gun sales.

Despite the best efforts of pro-Second Amendment advocates, including some New Jersey Legislators, to stop these proposals, the Legislature is moving forward.

Our focus now is on Governor Christie. We must call, email and write to him, making it clear he must veto this package of anti-Second Amendment legislation. We are voters and we will remember.

There is some evidence that suggests Governor Christie is sensitive to out-of-state calls – most likely out of concern for his apparent desire to run for president. We need all .50BMG advocates from across the United States contacting his office.

Tell Governor Christie to VETO A3659 and S2723/A4182.

These bills will not make New Jersey any safer.

He must remain supportive of the rights of law-abiding New Jersey residents and uphold the Second Amendment.

Let them pass it. Then is can get tested in the courts and we can put this nonsense behind us. Eventually bills like this are going to get through no matter how much we fight. A supreme court decision is the only way to stop this bs.

Uninformed people wonder why gun enthusiasts get upset when a single bill gets proposed. It always snowballs into complete removal of guns. I cannot find a case where a civilian was killed with a 50 BMG, some of the amendments were added as punishment for opposing the anti gun platform.

Remove 50 BMG barrel. Install 416 Barrett barrel. Less than a minute. Go to the range and piss off LEO.
