U.N. 'Disarmament' Memo

U.N. ‘Disarmament’ Memo

NRA-ILA

NRA – ILA

Charlotte, NC --(Ammoland.com)-  As attacks on our Second Amendment rights continue, there is typically a corresponding uptick in the number of internet rumors concerning firearms, ammunition, and gun-control measures.

The latest rumor involves the United Nations, a group that indeed poses an ongoing potential threat to our Second Amendment rights.  However, this rumor was highly suspect right from the start.

Pictures of the alleged document show that it originated in the very ominous sounding “United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs.”  The document is on official looking letterhead and includes a bar code and QR code.  The equally ominous sounding title of the article reads:  “Disarmament Commission — Civilian Weapons Confiscation Study Group.”

As reported in The Examiner, the August 5th document says its distribution is “restricted,” and outlines a seven‑stage strategy for making civilian possession of “military grade weapons” illegal, progressing down to outlawing all firearms and ammunition, and ultimately establishing “a United Nations Police Taskforce with the specific mission of assisting member nations with the collection of weapons from civilian hands.”

The document states:

“The issue of military grade weaponry in the hands of civilians looms ever larger in the face of the global implementation of 22/Agenda 21 by member nations. In particular, the United States of America has an estimated 500 million weapons in the hands of its civilian population. This is not just a static problem, it is a massive dynamic problem for the process of confiscation as there will be those who refuse to surrender their firearms.

“The conclusion of discussions by the CWCSG led to the adoption of a proposed agenda to begin the process for introducing to member nations a framework by which they can begin codification of national laws to disarm civilians within their borders through a graduated process.

Now, the good news:  According to a PolitiFact article, a U.N. spokesman has declared the document a fake.

“I checked the document number on our internal document system, and the reply I got back now was simply, ‘There is no document matching your request,’ said Farhan Haq, associate spokesperson for the Secretary-General. “The document number (A/CN.11/L.72) doesn’t conform to our standard system, in any case.”

In addition, Haq said, “there is no such body as a ‘Civilian Weapons Confiscation Study Group.’ Nor does the United Nations involve itself in confiscating weapons from member states.”

Finally, Haq said, “the use of blue ink, some of the type font and the scanner icon in the bottom right-hand corner are not found in real U.N. documents. So, in several different ways, this document is fake.”

Whether or not you trust PolitiFact’s findings, we do know that in the past, U.N. delegates have diligently tried to draft documents that conceal the U.N.’s anti-gun agenda.  That being the case, the extremely overt nature of this latest document makes it all the more implausible.

As we’ve pointed out before, a degree of skepticism regarding these sorts of rumors is healthy and necessary.  Gun owners should resist the urge to forward, and thereby propagate, these rumors before verifying their authenticity.  As always, the truth should be our standard.

Today, more than ever, there are more than enough actual threats to the Second Amendment to keep gun owners actively engaged in the fight for our rights.

    1. I would rather over estimate my enemy any day, than to underestimate him. If I think he is more powerful than he is, and prepare for it, I can’t loose. If I think he is weaker and don’t prepare for it I very well may loose. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I don’t think that is a chance worth taking.I’ll keep thinking of the UN as the buggy man and do everything I can to see that he is stopped from robing our billions of taxpayer dollars, each year, and removed from our shores.

I am making a point of buying firearms and ammunition and burying them in multiple places , some I will disclose to certain individuals I can trust , others I will keep to myself until buried with the hopes that someday a people with a righteous indignation can fine them and put them to good use . Of course if they fall into the wrong hands , so be it , it is my governments actions that make this very expensive activity necessary .

These two links above lend validity to this document.

I have been working feverishly on tracking down all the information of this document for 2 weeks now.
What I have uncovered lends more credence to authenticate than not.
Still researching objectively as to not poison the well so to speak.

      1. I am now in contact with the original poster of this document that lives overseas that originally placed it 2nd hand onto an American website. I will be recieving word back shortly as per my request of an original copy, and kindly requested the origin / source where he recieved it from.

      2. I have found compelling evidence that lends to the perifial validity of this memo in question, right down to the coversheet that belongs to the UNODA restricted doc above that was never attached.

      3. There is such committee called “civillian weapons confiscation study group” coincidently perhaps?

      4. 2 things I cannot validate.
      a) The language of the brief, but the topic of the closed council meeting is well supported in surounding evidence which lends credence to this above copy.
      b) The top right reference code which I can not validate because of it’s in house Restriction prohibits me from investigating any further because I dont have password access to the website to view such prefixed documents.
      c) Who leaked / posted it originally? I’m working on that as I’m typing this.

      What I do have.

      a) 9 different websites displsying this UNODA brief that when scanned tskes the investigation to a tinyurl photo bucket website leading one to believe it’s s hoaxed communique’
      b) A copy of a coversheet for this document that was not released with the above UNODA posted above complimenting eachother in respect to dates, conversation topic, referencing UNODA as the oversite committee.
      c) Discovered published Mil to Mil, Bi or Tri International cooperation for disarmorment between participating states for Treaty enforcement. UN, Russia, Georgia and other enforcement states to be called on if requested.
      d) Instructions and procedures of how to destroy confiscated or surrendered weapons. One note in particular of how to re number / designate a confiscated weapon to place it into law enforcement use. Basically, re stamp numbers of a confiscated weapon legit for enforcement.
      e) Jay Carney admitting Obama will sign the ATT small arms Treaty once the houses leave for recess.
      f) On 8-13-2013 Mitch McConnells secretary warning a Military Vet. Benjamin Francis Cooley that Obama is going to use UN Troops to confiscate weapons from the American people.
      g) The Senate holding a vote to uphold the second Amendment in advance of the unilateral signing of an International small arms Treaty. The vote came 5 short of agreement and failed. Trial balloon I’m guessing?
      h) The mention of the adoption of this Treaty in a Newspaper, NYT? just today reviewing the International Laws pros and mostly Cons for America.

There’s more. I will be more specific under this post. I have to stop right here.

Disregaurd the top link in my above post. I meant to paste this one.

      http://www.un.org/en/documents/charter/chapter7.shtml

The second link in my top post is confirmation of what surrounded that meeting, date, topic, start date, end date and confirmation of plausable date released. Council review Ended 8-4 released from France 8-5.

The restricted nature of this being a confidential communique’ noting the meeting held in council chamber, not an open forum or open group discussion.

Time will tell. Could be something, could be a hoax but were at a critical watershed moment in our Nation where nothing is off the table until proven otherwise. Especially when unilateral routs of both houses are common place and EO’s are being signed at a record pace.
Im just trying to get to the bottom of this persuasive, highley illegal document.

So now our source is “The Examiner.” You know the rag that is at the supermarket checkout. The one that says that aliens have landed and are having sex with Lindsey Lohan, which caused her latest problems! Get a clue… look at the source. I would rather believe Piers Morgan than the garbage printed by the “Examiner!”
