Bloomberg & MDA Put the Target on Customers’ Backs for Violent Criminals

North Carolina –-(Ammoland.com)- Moms lie. At least, that’s what you’d believe if you look at what the Moms Demand Action (a wholly owned subsidiary of Michael Bloomberg Inc.) has to say.

Recently, the “Moms Giving Moms a Bad Name” (it’s hard to keep track of which moniker they’re using this week) proclaimed a supposed “victory” at Target stores. After badgering and bullying the retail chain, Target acquiesced and politely asked that people not bring firearms to their stores.

They quickly added that they would not enforce any sort of ban. “This is a request and not a prohibition,” said Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder.

The so-called “victory” was short-lived. Apparently, suspected gang members don’t follow the “Moms Demand Subservience” Twitter feed, because an innocent victim (that is not believed to be involved in any sort of gang) was shot by a suspected gang member in the parking lot of a Target store last Tuesday. Even stranger is the fact that this happened in California, where some of the strictest gun laws in the nation are supposed to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

Of course, all of the law-abiding citizens visiting that Target store that day were disarmed for their so-called “safety”. None of these people would have had anything more than a shopping cart and perhaps a bag of diapers to defend their family with. What comfort to know that the only armed people in their presence were gang members.

Excellent job, Moms! An innocent person is dead because of the media message you championed! Gang members already knew that the best victim is a disarmed victim, and you’ve encouraged Target to broadcast that its customers are easy targets. We hope you’re proud that your message has encouraged and enabled criminals.

Lest we imagine that this was a coincidental one-off incident, let’s look at all of the other violent acts that people at Target have been the target of. To wit:

  • After Target Robberies, Gun Rights Advocates Say Gun-Free Zones Are ‘Victim-Enrichment Zones’
  • Man who pulled gun on Target staff arrested
  • Armed Robbers Targeting Gun Free Target Stores
  • Target’s Gun Ban Has Unexpected Results As Assailants Attack Store’s Unarmed Customers
  • Man Robbed in Target Parking Lot by 3 Armed Suspects Days After Retailer Announces New Gun Policy
  • Man punches woman, steals Mercedes in Edgewood

But please folks. Leave your gun at home … the one that the Bill of Rights says you have an individual right to keep and bear. Leave it at home because a bleeding-heart anti-gun crusader may be offended. And if you get shot by a gang banger, you can die knowing that nobody was offended.

Undoubtedly, the well-funded “Moms for Illegal Mayors” will call for more gun laws. Because, as we all know, the problem has nothing to do with a lax justice system, poor law enforcement or inadequate mental health facilities. The problem is that we haven’t made these crimes illegal enough.

Don’t for a second be swayed by the “Moms Demand Your Rights” usurpation of the phrase “common sense”. There’s no common sense in billionaire Michael Bloomberg (who once bragged about having his own army, and who tried to criminalize 16-oz sodas) trying to reinvent the constitution. There’s no common sense in the idea that your family’s ability to exercise its God-given right to protect itself should be curtailed in the so-called name of safety.

Common sense means allowing you and your family the freedom to decide how to protect yourselves against dangerous criminals, and common sense means respecting the second amendment right to self-armament. Period.

No, the “Fringe-Lunatic Moms” have nothing to do with common sense. They’ve given law-abiding folks like yourself ample proof that their sexist, elitist, anti-freedom message has absolutely nothing to do with safety. Women (many of them moms) are one of the fastest growing group of law-abiding gun owners, and it’s time that these women speak out against the fringe lunatics giving them a bad name.

The only question remaining is this: will law-abiding citizens abide by Target’s request for people to leave their lawfully carried firearms at home? Will the vast majority of the general public—people like you and I—allow this astroturf group of anti-freedom sexist wingnuts to speak for the rest of us, or will we raise our voices and show them what common sense really means?

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

Contact Target and remind them that their statement isn’t working well for them;
Post news accounts of violent crimes that occur at posted businesses on forums, blogs, Facebook, and Twitter;
Deliver a clear message to any business that follows Target’s example. By “preferring” that customers leave guns at home, businesses will be held accountable for crimes committed against innocent (disarmed) patrons; and
Donate to Rights Watch International.

Suggested Subject: Stop Making Your Customers Targets!

Dear Target,

The recent spate of violence in and around Target stores comes, not coincidentally right after Target’s request that patrons not carry their lawfully-owned firearms into Target stores. I understand that the “Moms Demand Action” astroturf group are loud and vociferous in their demands to disarm the general public, but I can’t ignore the fact that innocent (and disarmed) people are being victimized in Target stores. I value my right to protect myself and my family more than I value the right of a fringe minority to shop in a gun-free criminal-enablement zone.

Accordingly, I am not going to be shopping at Target stores until Target retracts its request that customers not bring their lawfully-possessed firearms into Target stores. There’s no product at Target that is worth putting my family in harm’s way.

I will be monitoring Target’s progress on this issue through Rights Watch International alerts.

Sincerely,

Cecil, I am for honest reporting of the facts, not sensationalism BS like the liberal MSM. I’m not a mom and I’m not part of anybody’s legal team. I carry in and outside of Target, with or without their permission. And I only go to Target if my wife insists I accompany her. I still feel that this is junk reporting at best and certainly misleading and unworthy of printing.

Even if you do carry concealed..why take a chance by going into a no gun zone? Stay far away,stay alert, and keep your powder dry.

Cecil

Herb, while you are right that there is no Target prohibition of firearms, do you think that maybe there statement might make criminals think that there are less armed people at Target? Of course it would. So are you part of the target legal team that is sweating liabilities or are you a “Mom”?

Can MDA be held responsible if you are injured because of their lunatic protests? they are violating your right to self protection. I think if the leaders were taken to court and personally held accountable and it got into their own finances their whole outlook would change. disrupt their lifestyle and make their life as miserable as they are trying to make yours and see what happened. I don’t want to hear about free speech they don’t care why should we

Herb

What a crock! What an overall stupid editorial. There is no Target “policy” forbidding the carrying of one or more firearms. Because Target asks you to not bring your gun to their store does not mean you have to abide by that request that they apparently have a policy against enforcing. So unarmed victims are not the fault of Target, they are the fault of the unarmed victims and the perps.

And another question: How many women defended themselves each week in places they weren’t disarmed? I’m guessing the number is considerably higher than nine!
