Columbia, MO –-(Ammoland.com)- Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA, will make a $100,000 donation to the NRA/ILA National Endowment for the Protection of the Second Amendment.

The donation is being made in honor of NRA/ILA’s hard work in rallying NRA members and Congress to combat the ATF’s proposed changes to the M855/SS109 ammo exemption framework. The donation also celebrates ATF’s recent decision to refrain from seeking to issue a final framework at this time.

The Potterfields have also announced the Two Twenty Three Challenge. Issued specifically to organizations in the Outdoor and Shooting Sports Industry, the challenge is for each organization to have their own celebration and to make a contribution to NRA/ILA National Endowment for the Protection of the Second Amendment, at whatever financial level is appropriate.

“We’re calling on all of the leaders in our industry to accept this challenge,” said Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA.

“Manufacturers, distributors, dealers, gun clubs and Key Conservation Groups all have an opportunity to celebrate and contribute to what the NRA/ILA and NRA members have helped make happen. Make a donation, write a Facebook post, issue a press release and get the word out that we sincerely support and appreciate the work the NRA/ILA and its members are doing to protect the Second Amendment.”

Amen brother!

This is not meant to take away from either Org..but how many members does the 2nd Amendment Foundation have? Both do good work and at 5 million strong I believe we know why the NRA carries the weight that it does. I am a endowment member of the NRA and a member of the RMGO’s. All of these Org’s work hard to protect our rights. No need to argue between us. United we stand divided we fall.

MidUSA is a sales outlet worthy of doing business with. It will take not only solid individuals of principled conservatism, but the deep pockets of related industry supporting the NRA and other groups, to keep our freedom alive as the country sinks into a moral abyss.

In my opinion, the NRA is an over rated, two faced bunch of RINOS, when the sold out the veterans and agreed to have weapons taken from vets that merely went to a mental health appointment….I dropped the scum like a hot potato, I joined Gun Owners of America and they are doing a hell of a lot more for our 2nd amend rights than the NRA….support the GOA!!!

Why don’t the Potterfields also support the Second Amendment Foundation.

They’re the ones that have done the most effective work in the Courts.

I don’t mind them supporting the NRA but the SAF has done more to restore our rights.

Congress would have been in the dark about ATF’s shameless power grab if not for the NRA lobbying efforts. It takes a heluva lot of work to get 290 members of Congress (majorities in both houses) to sign a letter. Yes, there are other gun rights groups that were involved and no one should try to take all the credit. But it’s obvious that the NRA is the organization that makes legislators sit up and pay attention.

I dont really know what the NRA had to do with this. The 2A Foundantion has also taken full credit for the ATF M855 ammo ban reversale desicion. Its Pottersfields money and the NRA has to keep those much well deserved, fat salaries coming in.

Potterfield is just giving your money to NRA because he jacked up the price of 556 $100.00 after the word got out about the ban. That is not how to support your customers. Stuff your pockets and then make a poltry donation the NRA to make yourself look like a good guy. SHAME ON POTTERFIELD!!!

Did you know that Larry and Brenda give 1/2 of of their income back to the shooting sports.
Did you know that Larry and Brenda pay all the fees associated with the Midway Scholastic Shooting Trust .
The Potterfields have donated well over a 1 million dollars to the youth shooting clubs in Arizona.
You can say what you like but Larry and Brenda have my respect.

When you put your money where your mouth is and cough up a 100K let us know.

DBS

Yeah sorry to break it to you but the 2nd amendment Foundation has about 5% the total impact the NRA does on Capitol Hill and that’s being fairly generous.
