SHACKLESFORD, VA –-(Ammoland.com)- Team International Training, Inc. (ITI) shooter Jason Maples took home fifth place in the Production Division at the 2010 Area 2 Championships, held November 10-14, 2010 at the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, AZ.

In addition to his fifth place overall win, Maples came in first place in the “A” Class. Maples competed against 63 of the best Production shooters in the country in this USPSA Level III Match to walk away with 993.0169 match points, or 92.00%.

Maples narrowly missed fourth place overall by seven match points and third place by eight match points.

“I want to thank Team ITI for their support of me as I prepared to shoot the USPSA Area 2 Championship,” commented Maples. “I also want to thank the match staff for such a great job. The Range Officers were very professional and the stages were extremely tough but very well planned and designed. This is a match that I truly look forward to competing in again next year.”

About Jason Maples
Jason Maples has five years of IDPA and USPSA match competition experience. Primarily competitive in USPSA, he is currently an “A” Class shooter in Limited, Production and Open divisions. He is also a classified “B” shooter in Limited 10 and Single Stack divisions. Maples law enforcement career began in 1998 as a full-time police officer for the City of Sevierville in East Tennessee. In 2003 he was hired as an Agent for the U.S. Border Patrol. He has also served as a firearms instructor for the Sevierville Police Department, as well as for the U.S. Border Patrol. Maples is also certified as a M4 carbine instructor.
