Provo, Utah –-(Ammoland.com)- Another NSSF SHOT Show has come and gone, and this year was a huge success.

The SHOT Show, now in its 35th year, is the largest trade show of its kind in the world and the fifth largest trade show in Las Vegas.

A record 62,371 people showed up this year including 2,000 members of the media to see the more than 1,600 exhibitors (including Action Target) who set up booths at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

On Monday, the NSSF held the eighth SHOT Show Media Day at the Range at the Boulder City Pistol and Rifle Range. The weather was less than cooperative with the temperature in the mid-20s and gusts of wind up to 40 mph, but that didn’t deter droves of writers, journalists, and bloggers from coming to try out new guns by Smith & Wesson, Glock, Remington, and others. More than a thousand media members were in attendance for the day’s events which included product demonstrations, opportunities to shoot the latest and greatest firearms, a silent auction, and exclusive access to company representatives.

Action Target has been the official steel target of the SHOT Show Media Day at the Range for several years now and provided dozens of new targets for this year’s event. Each of the 20 shooting bays on the range included portable steel targets from Action Target for members of the media to use as they tested new firearms and ammunition.

The SHOT Show officially began Tuesday morning as tens of thousands of attendees filled the 630,000 square foot expo center. Action Target was ready with a booth featuring 24 16-foot banners, 12 TVs, a virtual training system from Ti Training, and a jumbotron suspended 12 feet in the air.SHOT Show 11

“In grateful recognition of your generous support during the 50th anniversary of Royal Rangers! Thank you for sponsoring the National Shooting Sports Program events at Camporama 2012. The 125,000 members of Royal Rangers and the NSSP are proud to be partnered with Action Target. Thank you!”

Shad Arnold, chairman of the Royal Rangers’ National Shooting Sports Program, and National Youth Shooting Sports Ambassador Cris Herrera presented the plaque at the Action Target booth.

On Wednesday, Action Target presented the SHOT Show Media Day at the Range Safety Award to Eotech for their dedication to firearms safety while on the range. Eotech went above and beyond the safety requirements of the range and helped make the event a success. Chad Burdette from Action Target and Kelsey Williams from SHOT Show Media Day presented Eotech with a glass award donated by Baron Technology Inc.SHOT Show 13

Overall, the SHOT Show was a huge success. We made new friends, met wonderful people, threw a few parties, and came away with lasting memories. For those of you who stopped by our booth or participated in any way, thank you. We appreciate your support and look forward to another great show next year.
