Ramseur, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- To share in President Barack Obama’s admiration for the American tradition of shooting, the Revolutionary War Veterans Association (RWVA) is honored to invite him to share in American heritage and marksmanship at an Appleseed Project event during the weekend of April 20-21 at the RWVA home range in Ramseur, North Carolina.

U.S. President Barack Obama recently confirmed his admiration for the American tradition of sport sporting, and partakes in “skeet shooting all the time,” at the presidential retreat in Camp David, as recorded in a UK Telegraph article by Jon Swaine.

Project Appleseed is an activity of The Revolutionary War Veterans Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to teaching every American our shared heritage and history as well as traditional rifle marksmanship skills.

Our volunteer instructors travel across the country teaching those who attend about the difficult choices, the heroic actions, and the sacrifices that the Founders made on behalf of modern Americans, all of whom are their “progeny.”

Our heritage program vividly portrays the Battles of Lexington and Concord with the kind of care and immediacy that is absent from most formal schooling. Modern listeners are confronted with the danger, the fear, and the heartbreaking separations that arose out of the choices made on April 19th, 1775. They are also reminded of the marksmanship skills and masterful organization that ultimately helped set the colonists on the path to success. Those who attend gain a better understanding of the fundamental choices faced by our ancestors as they began to set the stage for the nation we now enjoy.

The RWVA is a CMP affiliated organization, and participation in one of their two-day clinics satisfies 1/3 of the requirements for having an M1 Garand sent directly to your door at half the retail cost!

Pre-registration cost: $80 per weekend. One day events and other special events may differ.
Reduced rates are offered for women, under 18, Active Duty Military, Law Enforcement Officers, Elected Officials, and Revolutionary War Re-enactors. All prices subject to change. Further information, including directions, start times and what to bring can be found on their website: www.appleseedinfo.org. Rifles and ammunition are not supplied.
