SMYRNA, Ga. –-( Today GLOCK, Inc. announced the launch of its newest pistol – the GLOCK 42. The G42 is the smallest GLOCK pistol ever introduced, making it ideal for pocket carry and other deep concealment carry methods.

Years of requests across all market groups for a super-concealable .380 GLOCK pistol prompted extensive development to bring the GLOCK customer the G42 pistol.

The slim design of the G42 fits the hands of any shooter; specifically it gives women or those with smaller hands a comfortable option like they’ve never seen before.

“This slimline subcompact pistol is able to withstand the rigors of any situation,” said GLOCK Vice President Josh Dorsey, commenting on the durability of GLOCK’s newest model. “It’s safe, simple and fast. The G42 is a GLOCK in every sense.”

Just spent an afternoon at Shooters gun range in Fory Myers where I paid a small range fee and could use all of my own ammo for the afternoon. One of the pistols I practiced with was my new Glock42. After I ordered it I read an article about the new Diamond Back that had me thinking I may have made the wrong choice with my purchase of the Glock. I ordered the Diamond Back and have not shot it I figured I would if I could find fault in the glock and I was pleasantly surprised that I could… Read more »

“This isn’t I’d be interested in at all. If I wanted a known 380 I’d just get the Ruger. Why don’t they market these for women only. My hands would swallow that toy. I’m not impressed.” There are some absolute trolls on here. Lets cry about 6 rounds, then don’t buy a single stack. Cry about it being small, seriously? It is not a woman only market since not all men have ape hands. I have smaller hands myself and the traditional sized Glock grips are always a bit bulky……….AND since when has a Glock been a comfortable conceal? This… Read more »

i DO have soe ape-like hands – large mits – and the Glock 42 works great for me as a daily carrier. Glides in and out of its handy rubberized pocket holster, no printing, its lightweight, and quick for when you need it fast and dirty. Anything I can’t get out of with 6 rounds means I’m losing my touch. Used to have the Ruger LCP 380 and just didn’t like the way it shot. So I didn’t carry it – which is futility manifested. This one goes everywhere I go, unless Georgia law says otherwise. Best $400 I ever… Read more »

They finally come out with one for the public when 380 ammo is never harder to find.
Good job, Glock !

The GLOCK spokesman on the Shotshow video said retail will be about $480. They may be available around $400 at some point but I bet the 42 will mostly be really hard to find for some time.

*Yawn*.Wake me up when Glock comes out with something that I might actually care about. How stupid…

I found them for $319 and $450
