Covington VA –-(Ammoland.com)- The Virginia Citizen’s Defense League is hosting a family-style picnic in the Newport News City Park on September 7, 2014.
The park is located at 13560 Jefferson Avenue in the city of Newport News, at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Ft. Eustis Blvd.
The picnic will begin at 11:00 AM and run until 2:00 PM.
Those coming to the picnic via Interstate 64 should use exit 250 to get on to Ft. Eustis Blvd., then go to the first traffic light and turn left. After turning left onto Jefferson Avenue, the park will be on the right. Picnic shelter #20 has been reserved for the VCDL. Once in the park, follow the signs to shelter #20.
This picnic is open to VCDL members AND the public, so everybody come out and have a good time!

We haven’t done one of these really fun picnics in a while in Newport News and I’m looking forward to it! We are inviting some local politicians to drop by.
