Where: Gun For Hire, 1267 McBride Ave, Woodland Park, NJ 07424- 50 Yard Range
Cost: Range fees $25 per hour; rental and ammunition extra; eye and ear safety gear provided
Tony Simon of Simon Says Train, is a NRA certified instructor and host of the Black History Month Diversity Shoot.
He created this shooting event “to raise the awareness of the non-stereotypical firearms enthusiast.” Simon says, “we can only win against the gun-control zealots if we are united.”
Tony was the only African-American pro-gun rights male to testify against the ten-round magazine limit bill before the New Jersey Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee in Trenton last year.
This event is open to everyone.

This is a great idea that should be extended to all ethnic groups. I would love to see a Cinco do Mayo shoot or a George Custer shoot at an indian reservation (just saying’). When I was in the Army, all soldiers were trained and race did not matter! Funny, but the rifles and guns did not object to being shot by a minority trooper either.
I believe that many things and anything should be used to give proper training and a good time to the people of our country.
