Fairfax, VA –-(Ammoland.com)- The fight to defend the right to keep and bear arms in the United States has been a long and hard one.

Organizations like the National Rifle Association are on the front lines of the struggle against gun control, a position they’ve held on their own for quite some time.

With their help, we’ve put together this detailed infographic that describes the history of that fight.

About:
Established in 1975, the Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is the “lobbying” arm of the National Rifle Association of America. ILA is responsible for preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals in the legislative, political, and legal arenas, to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. What I find interesting is the fact that nowhere is it mentioned in this timeline that Reagan also signed into law, disallowing any citizen to own a full auto firearm that was manufactured after 1985. Why was that VERY IMPORTANT part of the timeline excluded?
