Big John

just saw the lifetime warranty after I filled out the 2 year warranty form. In trying to promote ‘made in America’ they need to step up fit and especially finish. I hope that i wont hafta resort to the warranty, but its good to know that i have one.

To bad Glock won’t follow in suit. Their 1 year warrantee is pathetic for the #1 used handgun across all International agencies.

They are getting scared because folks are getting wise to their poor quality !!!
Not to mention limited life time warranty can mean anything they don’t want to fix period .

Dave in Fairfax

They offered to fix my 700 as well, after an AD. I read the reports on the REMLIN service and decided to have someone else fix it. Now, it seems, their warranty is almost also good as Henry’s and nowhere near as good as Hi-Point’s. Pretty poor for a major player.

Don’t anyone get their hopes up to much, they still haven’t figured out how to fix their R-51 which should be fairly simple if a guy had the proper milling tools. But quality control is not in their vocabulary. Maybe they should have their guns made in Japan like Browning and Winchester. They don’t seem to have any problems.

Well they did honor their “warranty” on my 700 7MM Mag. That was sold with a defective trigger (recalled) and they did replace the stock they damaged while doing the repair work, with another ‘factory second’ stock . . .
I asked then to send a replacement trigger assembly but they said it had to be replaces at a factory authorized repair center. Whereas I could have dome the repairs myself, (I am a gunsmith) and instead had to pay even more for their damages…

Sooo . . .

I thought Remington already had a limited lifetime firearms warranty !
