Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- Sage comments from a friend in the electronics field, on the subject of “smart” guns:
“The only real goal of the current push by leftists for mandating “smart guns” is to give ‘authorities’ (them) the capability to arbitrarily/instantly disable weapons of citizens.
What is the point of legislating a disabling mechanism, without arranging for arbitrary government control over the power to do the disabling? Similar to the ability to remotely shut-down vehicles.
Immobilizing/disarming hapless American citizens without even touching them is almost as cool as being able to freeze their assets, shut-down implanted medical devices, and remotely mess with heating/cooling systems in their homes. What an opportunity for absolute control, and so much more sanitary than gas chambers!
You can understand why the idea is so appealing to liberals leftists.
The prudent view this as the deadly threat to individual freedom and liberty that it is, and will take steps to insure that his assets, his transportation, and his arms, not to mention his body and his domicile, are never subject to government ‘remote control.’ ”
Smart Gun Comments:
Cynical/naive gun-company executives may merely be seeking to “legislate themselves into prosperity” with the “smart gun” idea. But deceitful leftist politicians, who are using them as dupes, have a far more sinister goal in mind!
Of this you may be sure:
“Smart” guns will never find their way into the hands of bodyguards who protect the very same hypocrites who want to force this gimmickery upon the rest of us!

Seriously folks, this technology is not going to happen! I’m a retired police commander and US Marine. I fail to believe for one split second this will ever happen! Police officers and military members will never let this happen because they’d only being damming themselves, their families, friends, neighbors, and the very fabric of our nation….FREEDOM and the right and duty to protect this great land. Disabling cell phone encryption and security. Disabling your personal defense and security. Freedom is riding on a ‘slippery slope’.
I can not see law enforcement officers or the military wanting to use these so-called smart guns. No pun intended, they are not that dumb,. Two horrible things to happen in a gun fight are to see one’s comrade go down or ones firearm to go down. Both are a near catastrophe only vitiated by ability to use the weapon of one’s down comrade. Well cars have key fobes to let only those with the these fobes start the car. Car thieves an get off the internet a device
that will let them start cars with out these devices. So how many seconds will it take before some one comes up with a jamming device so you can not shoot, or will let them use your gun. The internet is a highway you can get on with your computer. There are viruses that stop you from using your computer. So do you think this is a good idea.
There will be an interface between the electronic and the mechanical in order for the smart gun to work. That interface will be subject to modifications.
Anyone who would place their well being in a smart gun is not only a fool but a damn fool.
Don’t these idiots know that even before this technology can be installed in firearms, there will be manufacturers selling override modules. Insane!

They employ……hired gunmen, hired guns, gunmen, guns for hire, mercs, private army, gunners, gunslingers, trigger men, thugs, warriors, soldiers, shooters, etc.
years ago one of the Govern”s of N.J wanted to make smart guns the only handgun sold in his state.When a smart gun was developed . It would replace all handguns. His bodyguards would be exempt from this rule.If any of the citizens in his state used the above handgun to protect themselves and it failed to work. They could not sue him or the body of the house or senate.Talk about having your cake and sticking it to your citizens.
