USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Here we are at the end of another year looking back at everything that happened in 2016, but more importantly looking forward to 2017.

With the first real conservative administration in decades, supported by a Republican Congress, I expect to see more progress in every aspect of our country than we have ever seen.

A cabinet full of successful leaders from industry and our military means there’s never been a better group put together to positively affect our future (at least in the last 200 years or so).

These are people that don’t settle for second best, don’t take no for an answer, and know how to get tasks done.

Many of these are giving up lucrative positions to enter the public sector; a sacrifice many on the left just don’t understand because they’ve never given up anything for the greater good.

We have a ton of work to undo the mess that we’ve gotten ourselves into, but I am confident change will begin immediately, and the benefits will be felt almost as fast.

“Draining the Swamp” at least as far as eliminating the “no budget” mindset of our current government will perhaps be the biggest change, and one that will persist going forward. This will free up federal funds and shrink the footprint of our federal government eliminating wasteful spending as well as reducing redundant agencies.

I expect to see forward movement with our 2A rights vs the erosion we’ve been experiencing for decades. National reciprocity and the Hearing Protection Act are a great start, and would be great achievements in themselves.

Last but not least, next month is SHOT Show, and as a result January’s newsletter will go out right after the show so we can focus on bringing you the latest and greatest.

Perhaps symbolically, Michelle Obama is exactly the opposite of reality; for the first time in a long time we are feeling what having hope feels like. Hope without the chains that prevent us from achieving that which we hope for.

George Washington in his General Orders on July 9, 1776 wrote:

“The General hopes this important Event [the reading of the Declaration of Independence] will serve as a fresh incentive to every officer, and soldier, to act with Fidelity and Courage, as knowing that now the peace and safety of his Country depends (under God) solely on the success of our arms: And that he is now in the service of a State, possessed of sufficient power to reward his merit, and advance him to the highest Honors of a free Country.”

About AFRCOM:

AR15.Com originated in 1996 as a mailing list for firearm enthusiasts. As the years passed and interest grew, a website came into existence to present those same enthusiasts with a means to collect, share, and explore information. Shortly afterwards, a bulletin board was added to create a more interactive experience for the growing list of users. The site was still in it’s infancy, but was growing in popularity. Take that Michele Obama, worst FLOTUS in history. While you may have lost hope, the rest of us who have had to endure your husband’s incompetence, racist comments, and treasonous refusal to protect our country from ISIS, FINALLY can breathe a bit easier.
