It features a double-set trigger and two-tenon sidelock design. The Prairie Hawken has custom silver inlays on the mortise and buttstock as well as a custom two-piece forend cap. This rifle has a 14.5 length of pull.

The Traditions Performance Firearms Prairie Hawken Rifle is available in either percussion or flintlock and as a finished rifle or in a Build-It-Yourself Kit.

I was unable to get this rifles assembled production gun to shoot accurately ever. 1in48 twist rate is not accurate enough for round ball or bullet. Round ball requires a 1in60 twist or so for good accuracy and bullets require a 1in32 twist or faster for good accuracy preferably a 1in22 twist. Long term “survival” makes a flintlock the ideal rifle since black powder can be made as long as the basic ingredients can be found. Save your 5.56 and 7.62 for defense and hunt deer and other meat with a flintlock.
When making black powder wet [damp] mill the ingredients to avoid explosions. Use graphite to coat the “powder” and control static electricity.
