LAS VEGAS, Nev. -(Ammoland.com)- Honored American Veterans Afield (HAVA) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) announce the results of the January 21st HAVA/NSSF Golf Classic played at the Bear’s Best Golf Club in Las Vegas for the fourth time.

This spectacular event occurs on the Sunday preceding the annual industry SHOT Show.

There were 117 shooting industry participants (up from 103 in 2017), and the competition was fierce:

  • The winning team shot 10-under par 62 on this par 72 course
  • Four 2nd place teams shot 9-under par 63
  • Two 3rd place teams shot 8-under par 64

The purpose of the event is to promote competition and camaraderie between teams and among industry companies. Twenty-five companies sponsored teams in the event as players enjoyed a day of fun competition before the serious business of SHOT Show begins.

“We are looking to fill the field at the 2019 golf classic,” said HAVA Chairman Tom Taylor. “It’s become a great annual event and our partner NSSF works very hard to help HAVA deliver a first-class golf experience and our sponsor companies support the goal with sponsorships and raffle prizes.”

Chris Dolnack, Sr Vice President of NSSF, added, “HAVA has really stepped up in coordinating the golf classic, producing a very enjoyable event and helping the National Shooting Sports Foundation solidify the feeling of unity in our industry. It’s fun to see a bunch of industry professionals testing their golf skills on the beautifully designed Jack Nicklaus course. One would be amazed to see how many great golfers we have in our industry.”
