N.J. Gov. Murphy Right, “Let’s Talk About Gun Policy”…Failures

NJ Governor Murphy Signs Gun Control Package with Big Consequences
NJ Governor Murphy signs a bunch of useless Gun Control Bills that will do nothing to end gun crime.

BELLEVUE, WA –-(Ammoland.com)- The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms agrees with New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy that the aftermath of Sunday’s shooting incident in Trenton is a great time to “talk about gun policy,” especially how it has disastrously failed to protect his state’s law abiding citizens.

“Yes, let’s talk about New Jersey’s abysmal gun policy,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Let’s hear Murphy explain how keeping honest citizens disarmed while criminals like Tahaji Wells, who just got out of prison in February and should not have had a firearm at all under existing law, are released early where they can prey upon innocent, and defenseless, Garden State residents.

“Let’s hear from Murphy,” he continued, “about how citizen disarmament laws, that are anti-self-defense, aren’t strong enough. Maybe the governor can explain why local police agencies are allowed to sit on gun purchase applications while innocent people like Carol Bowne are murdered in the driveway of her Berlin Township home.

“And then maybe Murphy can expound on the right of self-defense, and defense of others, as happened over the weekend in far distant Washington State,” Gottlieb added. “Out in the Evergreen State Sunday afternoon, an armed citizen stopped a crazed gunman in a Walmart parking lot, possibly saving several lives because – unlike in New Jersey – Evergreen State residents can carry sidearms for personal protection against such criminals.”

The Sunday Walmart shooting made national headlines, and illustrates a sharp contrast between Draconian gun laws that leave people defenseless, and common sense laws that not only allow but enable citizens to fight back.

“Yes, Phil,” Gottlieb stated, “now is a very good time to have this conversation, so you can argue in favor of releasing dangerous felons from prison while pushing gun control laws that give criminals a risk-free working environment. We should have this discussion every time an innocent person is victimized when they could have defended themselves, except for restrictive gun control laws like you want to perpetuate in New Jersey.”

    1. The families of those 22 victims shot by the released convicted felon should initiate a class action against Trenton and the State of NJ. The shooter had a homicide on his rap sheet. Trenton has been a cesspool well before I pulled my business out over 30 years ago. Confiscatory gun laws then too. The Dems only understand paying out lawsuit claims. They can only raise taxes so high to make payouts. Once that happens even the Libs throw out the bums or move to Florida.

      1. Let’s not forget and abandon the 850,000 RIGHT THINKING American citizens who voted AGAINST Filthy Phil Murphy and who just happen to live (i.e. have families and lives long established), in what has become, (through Soprano State DEMOCRAT tactics), the People’s Democratic Republic of New Jersey. 850,000 is a significant number of your fellow and sister brethren who deserve to NOT BE FORGOTTEN as they fight to reestablish America in the First State To Ratify The Bill Of Rights and the Crossroads Of The American Revolution.

    2. The purpose of NJ’s useless/senseless gun laws is not to stop gun crime or protect the law abiding, it is a pre-cursor to gun confiscation by the state. It is the step, “see we tried commonsense laws, but they don’t work so we have to confiscate all guns.” The joke is it will not keep honest citizens safe, it will create helpless victims. NJ is just part of the northeastern metro gun confiscation corridor. Unless more people respond at the voting booth, put pressure on their representatives, and contribute to pro-gun organizations, the increase of more punitive gun laws are inevitable

    3. The people of your great state elected this unhinged POS, or did you? He is a democrat which means everyone can vote as many times as they want even from the grave. Good luck in getting rid of him, once a blood sucker gets in it is very difficult to get rid of him. Maybe someone should invite him on a fishing trip about a hundred miles out into the ocean, you might be able to change his attitude.

    4. As a New Jersey resident, I can tell you it takes months to get a gun permit to buy a weapon, it takes 3 references and their are limits on whether you can buy a handgun or a rifle/shotgun. There are ridiculous limits on magazines now 10 rounds reduced from 15 rounds last month. What am I to do with 10 15 round mags?
You can’t get a CCW in NJ unless you are a retired Police or Sherriff. To transport a gun the weapon and Ammo must be kept separately and locked. example: the gun in the trunk in a locked case, Ammo locked in the glove compartment. And if you’re stopped you had better be on the way to the range.

I predict many gun owners will be leaving the state for greener pastures.

      1. I would be one of them ,but my wife wont leave the town she grew up in. But if she should pass on before I do, Im out of this state like shit through a gooses ass!!!!!!

      2. @Frank Liso, as a NJ resident, can you tell us how those people hating, Constitutional Rights infringing, control freeking politicians keep getting elected?
