New Jersey – -(Ammoland.com)- Right to carry’s time is coming. With a new U.S. Supreme Court Justice on the way, national carry reciprocity legislation moving through Congress, and Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs’s pending lawsuit to overturn New Jersey’s unconstitutional carry law, it is only a matter of time until the right to defend yourself with a firearm outside the home is recognized everywhere.
In the meanwhile, New Jersey residents can carry legally in 30+ other states right now by qualifying for one or a combination of non-resident carry permits, and there has been unprecedented demand for permits since national reciprocity legislation has been pending. While there is no guarantee that the legislation will be enacted, we think it’s a good idea to be prepared and secure your permit now.
Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs has brought back its convenient Right to Carry Road Show permitting events at Cherry Ridge Range in an effort to accommodate renewed demand, and the next one is this Sunday, July 22, 2018 (9:00 a.m. for Florida, Arizona, Virginia and New Hampshire, 10:00 a.m. for Utah).
PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THE PERMITTING EVENT IS REQUIRED: Contact [email protected] or call 973-821-7106.
Here are the highlights:
- *All aspects of the carry permit application process conveniently handled for you at one location.
- *Fingerprinting, photos, notary, application completion, etc.
- *What otherwise takes weeks to assemble on your own is completed in a few hours!
FEE IS $220 (Utah), $50 (Florida or Virginia), $25 (Arizona).
(Cost includes Utah state application fee; all other state application fees are additional). No charge for New Hampshire application.
PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THE PERMITTING EVENT IS REQUIRED: Contact [email protected] or call 973-821-7106.
Note: Applications for Florida, Arizona and Virginia can only be submitted after prior completion of training, which is not part of this service (NRA Basic Pistol and First Steps certified pistol training satisfy this requirement. Also, NJ Hunter Education Card or DD214 Military Discharge form satisfy this requirement as well). Please note that these non-resident permits are not currently being honored in Pennsylvania.

Edwin Salisbury-
I have a NY State unrestricted license myself. I also have Pa and Utah concealed carry permits. I don’t remember having to qualify with an unrestricted permit for the Utah license. I do believe I needed the unrestricted permit for my Pennsylvania permit though.
The Utah and Florida permits are granted with the proper paperwork, the fees, fingerprinting, photos, and taking the required safety classes, which I assume they are going to set up at the event. Good luck.

I have a Kansas CCHL and 39 states recognize it as a carry license, Illinois recognizes it as a FOID. The dozen other states don’t honor any other than their own license. HR 38 has passed the House and is sitting in the Senate. When this Congress adjourns it dies and we have to start all over again. HR 38 is not “perfect” since it does not include Post Office public areas. But it will be easier to get that as an amendment to a law that pass an all new bill. It is very important that the Republican increase… Read more »
I have a NY licence to carry pistol permit but with restrictions. May I get a permit without restrictions from you?
@Edwin S, Try Texas. Leave your liberal notions behind, if any, but bring your money and know how with you.
