USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to introduce the blued Ruger SP101® chambered in .357 Magnum.

This five-round, small frame, blued double-action revolver is manufactured from alloy steel, features a 2.25” barrel, integral rear sight and ramped front sight.

“As the first blued alloy model in this family of revolvers, this new configuration sets itself apart from other SP101s and makes for a great compact and rugged carry firearm,” said Chris Killoy, Ruger President & CEO. “We have had several customer requests for this new model and we are pleased to add it to the lineup.”

This 26-ounce revolver can be fired in either double-action or single-action mode, and includes Ruger’s triple-locking cylinder that locks the cylinder from the front, rear and bottom for reliability and durability. The rubber grip assures positive control while reducing felt recoil and the transfer bar mechanism provides a measure of security against accidental discharge.

I love Ruger Revolvers. The Six Series are awesome. I love the Speed Six! I would like an version of the SP101 in 22LR. I would also love an alloy version of the LCRx with a 3″ barrel in 9mm. When that comes out I will be buying one.

I own six Ruger single actions and 4 .22 rimfire semi-auto
Pistols in various barrel lengths!! I carry a super Blackhawk flat top .44 magnum SS smooth cylinder with a 4.5 inch barrel on my side when I go to the woods!!! There is no other manufacturer of single actions that can do what a Ruger can do!!!

I have five Ruger revolvers and five of their semiauto pistols. Are they perfect? No, but they are good enough. Most Rugers have not been put through what mine have. That said, my Glocks are the ones used 99% of the time now. My LCP (original) goes with me everywhere I go, as primary or backup.

Love Rugers. Currently own 7 pistols and 3 rifles. Wouldn’t trade them for nothing.

Gotta love the Rugers… I am waiting for them to release a .22 American rim fire bolt action SS target rifle. They have the blued version but I want a stainless steel one, so I will wait for them to release a SS version.
