Auto-Ordnance Introduces “Airborne” M1 Carbine

Greeley, PA-(Ammoland.com)- Thompson Auto-Ordnance, maker of the famous “Tommy Gun” and other classic firearms throughout history, is excited to introduce the “Airborne” M1 Carbine.

Saint Michael is the patron of many heroic professionals, included amongst them paratroopers. These brave members of America’s elite airborne units step into the unknown with every jump. Each time not knowing what enemy lays below or even if they will make it to the ground and the battle that awaits. Kahr Firearms Group pays tribute to the brave airborne warriors of WWII, with this custom laser engraved version of our paratrooper M1 Carbine.

On the forearm is the battle-worn American flag. Adjacent is St. Michael, with the text “St. Michael pray for us”. A paratrooper, parachutes, and detailed C-47 transport aircraft are engraved on the opposite side. The stock is an authentic reproduction of the original folding version issued to airborne soldiers. As with all Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbines, the wood is high quality walnut, and all metal parts are Parkerized. It is an accurate, reliable, easy to shoot rifle in soft recoiling .30 Carbine. This WWII commemorative continues the Auto-Ordnance tradition of providing high quality reproductions of American military firearms for today’s shooter.

The “Airborne” M1 Carbine (AOM150C1) has an 18” barrel, walnut folding stock and wood handguard. It has a blade front sight and flip-style rear sight. MSRP is $1,518 and comes with a 15-round magazine. Contact your local firearms dealer to purchase. The “Airborne” M1 Carbine is now shipping!

Yea..kinda gaudy looking alright! Let’s see now….what can I buy for $1500?

John

Good grief look at all the LASER crap on that stock. Why not paint it red with yellow dots? If I were to get a real deal looking faithfully copied .30 cal Airborne carbine for this kind of money I would go to Inland Manufacturing for their Incredibly authentic like the originals and without the white mud flaps and red reflectors on the Kahr. Who buys that bling stuff for that kind of money????

Bear

So a reproduction of an iconic WW2 weapon originally costing $35.00 in 1941-1945 is now selling for over $1500.00.
I’m guessing they will have a good stock of UNSOLD units 2 years from now as the .30 carbine round is not really a manstopper. Only officers liked it as it was better than the .45ACP handgun most couldn’t hit a barn with. Even Omar Bradley carried a Garand M-1.

Wild Bill

@Bear, My dad was in the Pacific. I will never forget his words of wisdom, when I first enlisted. He said,”Just don’t get stuck with that .30 carbine. You can shoot a man six times and he won’t go down.” It was pretty much out of the inventory by then, but he meant well.
