Minnesota Gun Owners Lobby Day on Thursday, January 24th 2019

Minnesota – -(AmmoLand.com)- The upcoming legislative session in Minnesota will be a challenging one for gun owners.

Unlike the last several sessions, we now have a robust anti-gun majority in the Minnesota House – and only a single vote keeps a mostly anti-gun faction from taking control in the Senate. On top of that, incoming Governor Tim Walz campaigned on a strong platform of gun control and had promised to take immediate action upon assuming office.

Groups like Michael Bloomberg’s “Everytown” and “Moms Demand Action” spent millions of dollars to bring their out-of-state funded anti-gun politics to the door of the Minnesota legislature.

It’s time for law-abiding gun owners from across Minnesota to make their voices heard at the State Capitol.

At Gun Owners Lobby Day on January 24th, 2019 – you’ll have a chance to meet with both your State Senator and State Representative and let them hear directly from you. You’ll also be able to drop by Governor Walz’s office and leave him a note expressing your opposition to his agenda of failed gun control strategies.

Why you should attend

Anti-gun groups and their activists will be at the state capitol multiple times during the 2019 session, just as they have been in year’s past. It’s critical that elected officials, even if they support gun control initiatives, hear directly from you as their constituent.

We need a massive crowd of gun owners meeting with their legislators to stave off the upcoming gun control storm that’s coming from the House DFL leadership.

The Details: Where, when, and what will I be doing?

Gun Owners Lobby Day will be Thursday, January 24th, 2019. You can arrive to lobby any time between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm. You should plan about an hour to visit with your Senator and Representative and make a short stop by the Governor’s office.

We’ll be at the Minnesota State Capitol Complex at 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55155.

Lobby Day is completely free.

If you’re available to join us, there will be a Press Conference at 10:00 am in the State Capitol Building. We’d like as many gun owners as possible standing behind us during the press event. We’ll share more details as the date gets closer.

Who are these trolls who come to pro-gun sites and say we need more gun. control? I’ve seen several sites where this has happened. Okay tell us what law will stop criminals, drug dealers, gang members and terrorists? What? You cant think of any? Same thing. with the politicians. They just hate law abiding gun owners! What do you think will stop a criminal? What would you like tp protect your family and home with? A gun or a hankie? Or just start crying and maybe they’ll leave you alone. Gun control = people control = you locked away forever… Read more »

Wild Bill

@NRA Ben g, They are paid by various Soros and Bloomberg corporations to make conservatives feel isolate, and alone in their opinions. This tactic was first revealed when the Hillary campaign admitted it. They get paid per response. So we try not to respond to them, and starve then out.

The Green Watch Dog

I very much wish I was paid to voice my opinions, but if that was permitted, then we would have a flood of mis information. We are your next door neighbors, co-workers, friends in your church. Though we may not share political beliefs in those settings, we are committed to working together. For the good of not yours or mine, but our country. I look forward to attend public meetings, meet with elected officials, and attend request for proposal meetings at government settings.

This is a time to make sure there are no more gun laws in Minnesota. A solution to our “out of control” gun violence is to crack down on the criminals, NOT on the law abiding gun owners. Please don’t tell us what must be done. Most responsible gun owners don’t need the state to tell us what to do.

The Green Watch Dog

This will be a good time to interact in a peaceful and respective manner to hear both sides. My hopes are that it not be labeled as a democratic agenda. Rather a solution to our out of control gun violence. Responsible gun control, and safety training that all who own weapons be required to do so. Hope to see you there! The Green Watch Dog.

Sorry GWD, my patience level has been exceeded. No further interest in giving up any more of “the cake”.
